I bought one of these to keep myself amused during the Christmas hols (and, as it turned out, the subsequent lockdown...)

It's really awesome, you can play N64 and PS1 ROMs, along with all of the consoles and handhelds which came before them!

If you like retro gaming, I highly recommend snapping one up!

(I know this sounds like an advert, but it's not haha. I just know a few of y'all like old gaming. Use the discount code OLIVERWILBERFORCE)

I guess two things to mention here...

1) downloading most ROMS is not exactly legal if you don't own the original game (at which point it's still murky) if such things happen to bother you.

2) it's just an android device... Which means you can get a clip-on Bluetooth controller for your phone, if it's from any time in say the last 5 years (let's say Galaxy S7 and beyond) and it'll do exactly the same thing. Also... If you have a flagship from the last couple of years (a galaxy S20 or S21 or equivalent) they can even churn out enough power for PS2 and GameCube emulators.

But phones don't look as sexy as the Retroid :hmph:

I use Retroarch on Windows.

I only play Tetris - I downloaded the others to test a controller.

(I originally bought a cheap imitation NES USB controller but the directional buttons don't work properly, so I got a real NES one + adapter to connect to USB. Trouble with that is I get occasional random 'ghost' left inputs that stop the PC's power saving working.)
