For no good reason.

"Poorly" for me when it's used to mean feeling sick, it doesn't annoy me in other ways though like "You did very poorly in your exam" or

"Lads".

If you're off out to see "the lads" then I am 95% sure every single one of them is a ****, and so are you.

I think Lads is used differently in the UK than here, obviously that meaning is there too but "lads" is used way more than just that way, it's definitely more "gender neutral" it's used an awful lot actually, teachers call their students lads, I'd call my friends lads, I'd use it to say hurry up or cop on to my kids "Ah come on Lads" It's also used kind of like a phrase not even directed at anyone in particular, like if you get some annoying news you might say "ah lads" kind of meaning ffs

It’s an overused word for when often people have a difference of opinion / different views

..^..the way that you use lads is the way that I would use guys...although it’s obviously masculine as lads is...sometimes I might say that I’m meeting the girls, but often it’s the guys and my family know what I mean...and at school it would be okay guys to the class or a group...but it’s obviously a masculine descriptive...

How do you pronounce it though? it only annoys me when is pronounced in the way that rhymes with Doll rather than Roll

I rhyme with roll also, I don’t think I’ve ever heard it the other way
