...we’ll know between two possible amounts but not the actual box chosen, as Slim said, it’s to try to make more calculated choices with offers ...rather than no every time because atm, there are no ‘stakes’....I understand that yesterday was quite the ordeal for you in how long it was and how it had a few things that could have been polished a bit and those are things we’re still discussing as the the best format...making it much shorter seems an essential atm with people’s time and commitments...

Outline.

Player chooses their box.

Player opens 5 boxes one at a time.

Banker makes an offer based on boxes eliminated and amounts remaining.

Player decides whether to deal or no deal.

The game continues.

Player opens another 3 boxes.

Banker makes an offer.

Etc. Until there are only 2 boxes left. Then the banker makes a final offer and possibly the swap if he wants to.

The player will win as soon as they say Deal or the game ends with the opening of the final box.

So the boxes opened will be the same as they were yesterday (in line with the show). However, it will now be up to you to monitor your previous guesses and asking for the same box twice will now result in a 1k deduction, so I would guess something like:


Boxes chosen: 1,2,3,4,5,6.

Boxes to open: 7,8,9.

Just this alone will speed up the game massively, meaning every time the boxes are opened, Ammi doesn't have to search back through the thread, and can just deal with this.

Doing it like this will put it up to the contestants to decide how quickly (or slowly) the game takes.

As the massive banker, I also won't know what the amounts are - only Kate and Ammi will have this info, so any offers I make aren't done with any prior knowledge.

...I don’t think that there is any blame to be laid a such and really it would be sad for any fall outs over this because it was a learning thing for all of us...and there had to be that first person and you did really well, Cherie and I hadn’t realised that Slim wasn’t familiar with the Deal or No Deal format, so he also did very well, also ......the format as it is, is obviously not good or workable...not for any of us because so many hours like that is just too exhausting and mind numbing at best and worst, it’s quite unhealthy and just not great for our mental well being...:laugh:...on the plus, though...we did try to laugh our way through and that’s good for the soul....
