This might be in reference to this singing competition they've just announced?

The hennies of RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars 6 have found a new home alongside a host of global drag superstars.

ViacomCBS — parent company behind VH1's broadcast of RuPaul's Drag Race and its All-Stars spin-off — revealed Wednesday during its Investor Day streaming event that it's banking big on an upcoming season of the Emmy-winning reality competition series, as RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars 6 will move from VH1 to the group's rebranded Paramount+ subscription streaming app later this year.

All-Stars 6 isn't sashaying to Paramount+ alone, however; the series will be joined by Drag Race production company World of Wonder's all-new singing contest titled Queen of the Universe, which will pit drag stars from around the world against each other in a Eurovision-style singing tournament that promises "high heels, high octaves," and "high competition" that "will blow your wig off," according to the logline.

The announcement comes nearly one year after Drag Race crowned its fifth All-Stars winner in season 9 alum Shea Couleé after Jaida Essence Hall won season 12. Season 13 currently airs Fridays at 8 p.m. on VH1.

RuPaul's Drag Race began its life on ViacomCBS' LGBTQ-focused network Logo back in 2009, where it premiered new episodes through 2016. Guest judge Lady Gaga helped the main series (and All-Stars) make the jump to its new home on VH1 at the top of season 9 in early 2017.

Last year, ViacomCBS announced that All-Stars 5 would move from VH1 to the brand's premium network Showtime, though those plans were nixed during the pandemic. The current shift to Paramount+ marks the first time the American version of the series will debut domestically on a streaming service, though the series' official worldwide editions — including RuPaul's Drag Race UK, Canada's Drag Race, Drag Race Holland, Drag Race Thailand, and South America's The Switch — each launched new installments in the United States on the WOW Presents Plus app (which will also host the U.S. premieres of the upcoming Drag Race Down Under and Drag Race España) in recent years.

In addition to All-Stars 6 and Queen of the Universe, the new Paramount+ reality slate also includes a 30-year Real World: New York reunion, a Road Rules reboot, and The Challenge: All Stars.

Paramount+ launches March 4 as a rebrand of the existing CBS All Access service, and will be a hub for broadcast, news, sports, and entertainment projects under the ViacomCBS umbrella.

They're really expecting fans to pay for another streaming service :skull: RIP to the ratings, you greedy fags x

(Idk if this still means we get it on UK Netflix tbh... if they try to pull a "it's only available on WOWPresents+" then, yeah... end the franchise for good )

The Already iconic Challenge: All Stars.

Their not even half way through production yet and they have promos.

As if Big Easy's name made it on the promo.

I wonder if this is the end of Drag Race on netflix?

We just want an AS season with losers from foreign versions, not a singing competition.

Though I suppose Ru will do a "US vs International" AS type of season, to keep US people involved. And possibly wait until the versions from Spain and Australia/NZ are aired?

Also, I want at least Jimbo and Divina or else keep it

Okay so it turns out it looks like International All Stars is a thing, and queens are disappearing off social media so it may be filming right now :skull: UKS3 has just finished filming, and I would assume Australia has finished filming too.

The Eurovision-style show is something completely separate from this, and it would appear that the following queens are "Likely" (according to the Spoiler reddit. Link here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SpoiledDragRace/comments/m7rjh5/ias_ias_postdisappearancerumours_thread_1/ )... so obviously don't click this spoiler if you don't want to know who's appearing:

From the UK: Blu Hydrangea, Baga Chipz and Cheryl Hole
From the USA: Manila Luzon, Monique Heart (c'mon the real AS4 winners!)
From the Netherlands: Envy Peru, Janey Jacke
From Thailand: Pangina Heals
From Canada: Jimbo, Lemon

So a cast of 10... unless some of these are cameo appearances.

Manila to lose a fourth time? :worry: Unlikely with this cast...

That cast looks hot! It's going to be good!

Particularly excited for robbed Jimbo and showgirl Janey Jacké (and trade of the season tbh).

Surprised that Envy Peru is back on a non-winners season. She has one of the best (if not the best) track record of all time.

A bit disappointed that Divina is not there because she really could have done well.

I can see Manila losing again with girls like Monique or Baga. Ru would propbably crown an overseas queen to justify having an international AS season.
I won't be complaining as long as the winner is worthy of the win.

Paramount Plus is the main reason we choose to live.

Very much hoping that this takes place instead of USAS for a couple of years, the fact that this years AS is mostly queens that finishes 7th or lower.... Chile

Its crazy this is an actual full season and not just some random eurovision comp.

I wonder if they are filming in London?

Hopefully its a 12 person cast because id like to see a few more names. Maybe 1 from UKS2 and another US girl.

Lawrence from UK2 should be there I think, although Ru probably will keep her for another AS season to avoid the competition with Baga because Ru loves both a lot.

Tia too

Can't judge Thailand or Netherlands since I watched neither, but this is Manila's to lose if that lineup is correct. I can see the UK queens flopping, Blu and Cheryl were never great at challenges, and I don't think Baga would be a producer's favourite in this cast.

I could easily see Jimbo, Manila, Monique and Lemon as the Top 4.

I could definitely see Lawrence in an all-winners season or an AS one. What's preventing her.

It wouldn't be a good thing for Lawrence, it would show up how mediocre he actually is.

I think just like any winner (except probably Bianca because she had 20 years of experience already) all queens have benefited from years of experience after winning.
I would like to see winners such as Lawrence, Priyanka, Envy Peru come back after a few years of getting their art perfected and making their win really worth it. They're young, they grew up watching the show and I feel like their win is the start of their career and I would like to see what happens after a few years in the industry.
I mentionned those 3 because they're the latest ones, but I can mention Violet who really grew a lot since winning or even Bob who improved in so many areas since S8. And Bebe showed a lot of growth in AS3.
