What do you naturally gravitate towards when you’re at a supermarket - self-service or would you rather the person at the tills scans your items?

Self service always ends up being cheaper somehow

Self service, I don't want someone's grubby covid-hands all over my Salami.

Self service. Hate going to a checkout.

Normally only the manned checkouts.
I don't support people losing jobs.

However in this pandemic, I admit I use the self service ones.

I ticked the wrong option  Should've just voted for 'other' because I usually go to self-service checkout unless there's a longer queue than at any of the tills.

I don't particularly agree with widespread automation, so I got to main.

Main although i've not shopped for a year , my daughter has been an absolute godsend !

Light at end of tunnel now though and i'm looking forward to not writing shopping lists, photographing and sending, who'd have thought i'd excited at being able to food shop again for myself. :cheer2:

Both. Self service is my preference but if there are loads of people at self service and none at the normal checkout, i'll go normal checkout. If i'm doing a massive shop i'll go normal checkout as you can't fit a trolley load in at the self service easily...

Self service mainly because it’s a lot quicker

I don't like self checkout ,I've only used it once or twice for quickness .

Not many self service stations available on supermarkets here, if any.

Only use self service if I have a small basket.
