Kate Middleton's mother Carole asks publishers of Good Housekeeping not to promote her cover interview to avoid being 'insensitive' to Prince Philip, 99

Kate Middleton's mother Carole has asked the publishers of Good
Housekeeping magazine not to promote a cover interview with her over fears
it will look 'insensitive' while Prince Philip is battling ill-health in hospital.
Carole Middleton, who runs party supply company Party Pieces, interviewed
with the magazine in January but has reportedly asked its publishers not to
promote it as Prince Philip, 99, is still in hospital.
The news comes ahead of a 'tell-all' interview with the Duke and Duchess of
Sussex and Oprah Winfrey which is set to air in the UK on Monday night,
despite criticism of its timing.
A source told the Sun: 'Carole is incredibly proud of her company and all the
hard work that goes into it.
'But whilst backing the business, she didn't want to turn any news into a
media circus because she is so respectful and sensitive to Catherine, and the
royal family.
'She always gets William's go-ahead before any interview like this, and he is
incredibly supportive.
'But the more the PR machine rolled out in Los Angeles with Meghan and
Harry, the more sensitive Carole became.
'She decided she didn't want to do any PR for the interview - even if it cost
her thousands in potential lost marketing.'
In the interview, which features in the April issue and is out now, Carole
shares insights into her company Party Pieces as well as her family life.
She looks stunning and appears on the cover of the magazine wearing a £375 Seventies-inspired
floral print dress from Wyse London, befitting the arrival of spring.

He is lucky, but who bases their choice of partner on how well they get on with their family/their past family experiences, or tries to use those as some sort of moral judgement? More accurately, Kate is lucky to come from a happy & supportive family, but that should be seen for what it is: a good thing, a lucky thing... not some sort of character assessment . How can you base a moral assessment of a person on their family history. Can't think of anyone who would do that.

Bollocks; only the ones who can't see/refuse to see their parents' flaws or go with stupid outdated "respect ur elders" traditions that don't allow questioning of parents or other older family members. Those are the ones who will inevitably turn out just like their parents.

It’s a simple matter of Respect.
Respect should be automatic, until it's lost, at which point it needs to be re-earned.
It's not an unbreakable default. You don't have to respect people who have lost your respect "because it's family".

Okay? that's lovely for her.
If she'd just left it alone nobody would know she was doing it anyway because I doubt many know who she even is, by making an issue of it she's brought it more attention though.
So she's either very tactical and by pretending not to want attention she's gotten a little, the DM are lying once again or she's a bit deluded and thinks anyone was rushing to the corner shop to read about her business.

No issue at all with her maximising her exposure, possibly for business purposes. I think most, if honest, would use the press in such a way, if they could, because..well why not, best form of advertising tbh! Also I dont see why it would be assumed noone would want to hear from her really. Very sucessful businesswoman along with her status in the royal family.
Not really liking the angle of this though. But..par for the course.

Come on guys this is ridiculous - not one of us would have had a clue who Kate's mum was if we'd passed her on the street before seeing her picture on this thread.
Of course we do she was all over the media for a year when kate and wills married

The Grandmother of the 7 year old future King on the non-Royal side?
Have some respect! She's huge!

Of course we do she was all over the media for a year when kate and wills marriedBollocks, only Royal fetishists care enough to take note of such tertiary Royals, this is just point-scoring fantasy. This nonsense about her respectfully pulling her fluff piece from good housekeeping (... :idc: ) is only news AT ALL because of Harry and Meghan. Which basically sums up the whole thing.
i wouldn't be able to pick out Kate on the street, so Kate's mum has no chance  The royals are a different matter, they all have the same genetic markers, so i could spot them from a mile away

Could?
Well it's been recorded now so either she did or she didn't.
I assumed she made an appearance ,the way it was worded but who knows.

Well I would and I am sure many will agree....why would a magazine put her on their front cover if nobody knew who she was

I know who she is but without her name next to her photo on there, I wouldn't have known that was her. She's not in the public eye daily so many non Royal watchers wouldn't know her. That's not a bad thing though
I'm not sure why she would want the magazine pulled though, I highly doubt she has said anything disrespectful in the interview.

...(...I’m guessing...)...that because it was always due for the April issue and Philip is in now hospital now, which wouldn’t have been known he would be...she’s asked for a delay...that’s what I’m thinking...not for any content of the article...

...why is it even a woman on the cover of Good Housekeeping...I’m just looking at past covers, all 75 million of them and I can only see two with a man on the cover...one is Hugh Jackman and the other is Jamie Oliver...why are t there an equal amount male/female covers...why is House keeping a woman thing...?...sod off Good Housekeeping, this is very awful House Keeping...

Considering her Business...GH is an ideal for promoting it. Shes growing her business...its a family business and will continue to be so when she chooses to retire.
Good for them...a BA Pilot and Stewardess did very well for themselves.

Pretty much, but then again, there's more hate towards Meghan than a literal peado prince, so you can't expect rationality from this country. We are such a weak, gullible country.

You can guarantee if Megan's mother did a similar magazine spread the same people absolutely praising Kate's mum would be trashing Doria Ragland and calling her an attention seeker.

Meghan won’t postpone Oprah interview as it’s ‘nothing to do with Prince Philip’
"..she said she wouldn’t because it has absolutely nothing to do with Prince Philip and that this is just an excuse by the palace to keep her muzzled."

None story really here :S
‘Prince Harry has no say on the matter. What’s done is done. Meghan said now the whole world can see what she had to endure for months on end. No support whatsoever and now even across the pond, still no loyalty or support.

:idc:Oh dear is Meghan bullying the tv channels that have the rights to the interview now? :joker:
Absolute nonsense click bait titled article.
Meghan has no control over when the interview airs and of course the journalist knows that as they eventually stayed it themselves further down the article.

I am quite sure she could have asked for a week's grace and that would have built the promo even more
a wasted marketing opportunity tbh
