Yeah....it always sounded good not having to work....until I was furloughed last year. Its rubbish...soul destroying and boring.

Celtic losing tomorrow and 55 coming home
I've noted my note book regarding the blue noses I saw today, visible for all to see by the mask brigade.

My dad worked right out of school, long hours too all his life and was looking forward to retiring to relax. Within a few months, he was so bored he ended up just taking any job he could find to be out of the house, so now he works in tesco just for..space and something to do!

Someone asked Richard Branson what the best part of being so wealthy was ..
He said it was having the freedom of waking up every morning knowing you could do absolutely anything and everything you wanted that day ... or just go back to sleep

Makes literally zero difference to me until the kids are back at school... the day isn't "mine" anyway so I might as well be getting paid.
When they're at school a weekday off is brilliant, I can put on headphones without needing to keep one ear out for drama and just relax for 6 hours :hee:.

A week from tomorrow, assuming no changes :worry:
At this point I just hope my 11-year-old gets to have a "normalish" end to her time at Primary School. She starts high school in August and has missed huge chunks of her final days in little-school... I hope she gets to say a "proper goodbye" at the end.

Tbf, if you were furloughed and there were no other lockdown restrictions it might be more enjoyable.

Well I for one wouldn't be dunking a 50p each dip biscuit into a cup of tea.
