Slop

Please sir, can I have some more?

The housemates may rue the day they decided to quit the Insomnia Task.

Although they were warned Task failure would result in a basic shopping budget, at around midnight last night, they decided they could live with it.

But when you're Big Brother, one reserves the right to change one's mind...

So having failed to stay, housemates will not be receiving any money for food. Instead of basic rations, all housemates will take delivery of 'delicious' Big Brother Slop.

Yes, Slop.

Three times a day, housemates will be given a personalised portion of Slop. It can't be heated or seasoned and it must be consumed at the Dining Table.

Big Brother's Slop is best served with water - which is a good job, as this will be the only beverage the housemates will be allowed to drink.

Oh, and housemates will not be allowed to leave the table until they have finished eating every last sloppy drop.

Cheer up guys - it could be chocolate flavoured Slop... maybe...

This was the 'slop situation' I was talking about in the "Complain to OFCOM" thread...

this is the producers getting annoyed that their biggest tricks and twists aren't getting the effect they wanted to get. i think its a good punishment. this will ensure they take tasks more seriously in future for our viewing pleasure! What I don't agree with is their welfare. I know they can leave at any time, but BB producers are playing on the fact that these wannabe celebs will face anything to stay in as long as possible, so they will not be focusing correctly on their own health. Not sure if it's OFCOM material, but then again neither was my complaint I wasn't thinking rationally and my wonderful TIBB buddies soon corrected me hehe

To think 24 more hours and they would have had a luxury budget...

Good point, but we can't have TOO much sympathy for these people - they want a career and fame simply for being on Big Brother. They don't even do the tasks, they just moan at each other and bitch about things.

I don't blame BB for getting tough. If they want fame so badly they're gonna have to work for it like everyone else.

I'm sure it's just porridge, it must be fortified with the vitamins/nutrients they need. BB is not going to starve them unhealthily. That's shown by the fact that the bigger people are getting bigger portions - they're not being too cruel. Just making a point, I think. Serves them right for not trying....they may not have been successful, but they shouldn't have just given up.:bored:

Symptomatic of a lot of things

Its always got to be something for nothing, even the 15 minutes of z-list fame they so desperately want, they can't be bothered to even attempt to complete a task that might get them it.

Give them a slice stale bread and a mug of water a day - then they can play the martyr to their hearts content

I think it's funny, yummmmmm slop. I bet they wish they finished the task now.

I think they were very close to doing that task. It took a LOT of discouraging talk from Johnathan to get them to quit it.

What would happen if the housemates refused to eat the slop until they got their normal food back? BB couldn't let them starve.

It was pretty disgusting, to be honest. Fair enough that they failed the task and were to get a simple budget and everything... but that was taking things a step too far. Amongst all the arguments and everything, I had temporarily forgotten about that. The slop looked disgusting, and I did feel sorry for Brian when he specifically wrote down that he doesn't like porridge/rice pudding/milk-type foods, yet he was expected to eat the slop.

If it was me I'd refuse to eat anything until they gave me proper food and if BB tried anything to get me to eat it i'd slap 'em wit an infringement of basic human rights' case. I couldn't and won't stand for crap like that when I go in the BB house.

Its not an infringement of human rights, they signed up and accepted the rules. There getting all the nutrion they require and if were honest they are eating more healthly than your average household.

Oh...Still I don't like this twist, I hate punishment weeks it's much more fun to watch when Big Brother is fun, It was great last year when Big Brother seemed to have a sense of humour in the diary room and what happened to the parties? they were always fun to watch.

If Big Brother had called it 'wholesome nutritious food reserve' the housemates wouldnt complain much (apart from Brian) and noone would bat an eyelid.

I think maybe the overreaction is because Big Brother decided to label it 'slop'.

I believe it's called a 'placebo effect'.

Also, did anyone anyone else notice Brian say "Ah! Gruel!" which is the old fashined name for slop, found in Charles Dickens books.

Doesn't know his Shakespeare, but he can still quote Dickens.

Still, i think this twist stinks of desperation, I think they should have just been put on rations or something, because they'll only starve themselves because half of the housemates won't eat that cement mix.

It annoys me when BB suddenly change the rules or punishments, there's no structure or balance to it anymore, without those things there isn't any point in punishments.

First off,. the sleep deprivation task was nearly impossible to pass. If you doubt me I suggest anyone of you to try and stay awake more then 48hrs straight without the aid of drugs,. its quite challenging. I know this because Im in the military and we do this during exercise at least once a year. After 2 days you can barely keep your eyes open.

So giving them this extremely challenging task,. and punishing them with the slop is downright cruel. It is a step over the line in my opinion. Why would BB tread so close to having the housemates fight back in some kind of modern day mutiny? Its ridiculous. The fact that Charley is getting seriously aggressive with other housemates.,.talking about nominations non-stop and not being properly punished,.,.and the biggie,.,not giving Sam & Amanda a birthday party is making the whole BB package IMO A stupid show.

Some people claim this kind of tv entertaining,. to me its about as cruel & entertaining as watching bumfights,.,.You can thank the producers for manufacturing this kind of garbage,.,.wheres the fun dammit! Last season was 50x better

My girlfriend came into the bedroom thinking I was angry at her because I yelled out *****ing ***** at my screen at the top of my lungs. Im like no hun,. its just this girl I hate named Charley on bb this season :)

But what was "slop" did C4 ever say? Was it ever on BBLB?

The task was wrong as it put health at risk. People sign up for this because for some reason they feel they need fame. They really need to have been directed to some counseling instead.

I once had the opportunity for fame with a part on Westenders, I had the sense to turn it down.

I did wonder if slop was lentil based, asnd I love lentils, especially if you add bacon for a lentil and bacon soup.
