Meghan Markle's half-sister Samantha SLAMS her Oprah interview, accusing
Duchess of using 'depression as an excuse to treat people like dishrags' - and
firing back at her claim that they haven't seen each other in 20 years
Samantha, 56, who shares a father, Thomas, with Meghan, 39, unleashed a furious rant against her half-sister in the wake of her bombshell Oprah interview
On Monday morning, new clips from the interview showed Meghan discussing her relationship with her father and Samantha
She accused her dad of 'betraying her' and said that her half-sister Samantha 'doesn't know her' and claimed they haven't seen each other in 20 years
Samantha shared proof to refute this claim, sharing images of herself and Meghan at her college graduation 13 years ago
Meghan also claimed in the interview clips that Samantha only changed her name back to Markle when her half-sister began dating Harry
Samantha shared evidence to the contrary, revealing that she filed a petition to change her last name to Markle in December 1997
When asked about Meghan's admission that she struggled with suicidal thoughts, Samantha accused her of using her mental health as 'an excuse'
'Depression is not an excuse for treating people like dishrags and disposing of them,' she said of her half-sibling's struggle

Meghan Markle's half-sister Samantha has slammed the royal's bombshell
interview with Oprah Winfrey, saying 'the truth was totally ignored and
omitted' while providing photos and documents to disprove each of the
Duchess of Sussex's claims about her.
The 56-year-old also admitted that she has no sympathy for Meghan, 39,
who revealed during the shocking interview that she battled suicidal thoughts
during her time as a royal - instead accusing the Duchess of using her
'depression as an excuse for treating people like dishrags'

What a disgusting thing to say. How on earth would she know that anyway, she hasn't seen her in what was it? 13 years.....she has proof of that too :hee:
Also, I haven't seen her in 20 years, isn't a massive lie when the figure is instead 13, give over

yes but that is a normal exaggeration as noone has so its used to represent a standard long time
20 years is a specific time and it was a downright lie for effect to sensasionalise
also saying her actual sister was trying to cash in on her fame by changing her name was a nasty lie
again to hurt and damage
what a piece of work - your own father and sister call you out in one day

Another, er, inconsistency - Reverend David Green "Its not legal to have your own vows, you can't get married twice.

that had been 'incorrectly described' by Meghan.

So they did have a private exchange of vows like she said, it wasn't actually a lie? It's just nit picking at how she worded it? fgs

She said 'we got married 3 days before' though, not 'we exchanged private vows' which is a totally different thing as that isn't getting married.
Which made people think her big wedding 3 days later presided over by the Archbishop of Canterbury was a sham.

Why would it be a sham? I've been to plenty of weddings where the couple had gotten married a few days earlier in a registry office just for the legal stuff and then had their own ceremonies with all the guests to attend, I never felt I was attending a "sham"
Anyway, what she said actually did happen, she did exchange vows with her husband a few days previous so they could have something personal and private which seems like the point she was making, that actually happened. It's nit picking to say she's lying

There are many inconsistencies in what she and Harry said actually. If you are doing a 'tell all' interview and want people to believe your words, its imperative that you get all your facts straight and not 'incorrectly describe' events.

The grasping at straws is honestly ridiculous :joker:
Meghan and Harry knowingly put the queen in an impossible position. Claim there was racism but not specifically identify the culprit. It means the queen cannot refute it, so the only option given that is that it is and should have remained a private family matter, it was the only line she could take.
They may say they are still much loved, but that certainly wont be true of all the family, they have burnt a lot of bridges that wont be repaired

I find it disgusting that Meghan's mental health is being downplayed & doubted , god forbid if something had happened to her would people then be saying it's all "for attention" :bored: :umm2: .
Non of us will ever know what it feels like to be in Harry & Meghan's shoes, we can only imagine .
And it's gut wrenching just hearing how she felt and what she was almost driven to, then there's the lack of support and care . Very cruel unfeeling system .
The media attacks alone are enough to give anyone depression, imagine every day lies and racist abuse being printed about you . How would people cope .

A real interviewer would insist that she name names when making allegations -
"Someone asked what colour the baby will be" - but not saying who.
"Someone said the baby will not be allowed a title because it will be mixed race" - but I'm not saying who.
"I was refused help for my mental state by someone" - but I'm not saying who.
On and on it went, 'not saying who' meant she could say what she liked without producing any evidence that the people she was accusing could answer to.
Sly and manipulative and blatantly unfair.

It's attitudes of not believing people when they say they are struggling with mental health issues which leave those thinking of reaching out for help, to then not to.
Fearing they'll be scoffed at or not believed.
There's still a lot wrong in the UK of ignorance on mental health issues and the pain people are going through with it.
As you say and I agree, disgusting, I'd add shameful too.
