I have included it based on the Grammy years rather than the album, and so therefore included 2009 eligible albums where the ceremony took place in 2010 to avoid any confusion.
This is the biggest award of the night and the most prestigious - only superstars or phenomenal albums seem to win this award - sadly collaboration artists do not win this award
Which albums have you heard/bought?
2010 - Taylor Swift - Fearless
2011 - Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
2012 - Adele - 21
2013 - Mumford and Sons - Babel
2014 - Daft Punk - Random Access Memories
2015 - Beck - Morning Phase
2016 - Taylor Swift - 1989
2017 - Adele - 25
2018 - Bruno Mars - 24K Magic
2019 - Kacey Musgraves - Rush Hour
2020 - Billie Elish - When We Fall Asleep where do we go?
2021 - Taylor Swift - Folklore
Three wins by Taylor Swift is a great achievement.

Brilliant from start to finish for these 4. Haven't listened much to the others, but at first glance I can see why they won.

Only Adele and Daft Punk
IE the 2 best artists in that roll call

Love the Arcade Fire, Billie and Kacey albums.
All the others I've heard were good, but nowhere near the best of the year.
Of those, I'd disagree with Mumford and Sons the most... a hugely average (if not poor) album. Somehow beat Frank Ocean's Channel Orange as well :umm2: (other albums not nominated from 2011-12 include M83's Hurry Up We're Dreaming, Grimes' Visions, Fiona Apple's Idler Wheel, Florence + the Machine's Ceremonials, Drake's Take Care, Kate Bush's 50 Words for Snow, Purity Ring's Shrines...)

That list really highlights the Album Of The Year Award as a joke.
Then again. It was hard to take it seriously after they didn’t even nominate MBDTF.

Both Adele albums , Bruno’s , Billie Eilish and best of all the Kacey Musgraves album .
Beautiful voice , beautiful songs .

Seeing Beck is still triggering
21 is my favourite album from the list
None of them.
Probably heard some songs off them, but listening to a full album the answer is none.

Taylor Swift has rereleased one of the best albums (critically acclaimed and Grammy award winning - not everyone has that) of the 00s Fearless today

Is that because you don’t like the genres though? Most of those albums are well produced good albums with good lyrics
