I'm glad, looking forward to hearing Mock's view on this.
He's got a job on his hands but here's hoping.
Good luck to him.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
they must be on a par with chelsea for manager turnover

We've had a few challenging years for sure bots.
This one was turning into a nightmare.

I wish Bowyer the best of luck. Out of all the managers under the old regime at Charlton in the last 6 or so years, Bowyer was always one of the better ones and Wembley in 2019 is something that I truly thank him for. It’s sad that for whatever reason, he feels he can no longer continue at the club and he has had to endure so much during his time at Charlton with Roland, the ESI bull**** etc whilst at the same time, attempting to build a decent squad with very little to work with.
Sadly though a lot of fans, myself included knew that his time was coming to an end. His tactics and team selections were very inconsistent, we’ve constantly been changing our squad every game which kinda shows that he didn’t really know what his strongest squad was and he seemed to be more despondent in his post match interviews as the games went on. Personally I feel like he should’ve been given more time as we had an ownership change and it’s going to take a long time to rebuild after having a **** owner for the last 7 years.
Still tho I wish him all the best and I feel that he’s left with his dignity intact. I hope that he manages to help Birmingham as they seem to be struggling a lot lately so he has a big job on his hands.
Here’s hoping as well that our new owner can find someone who can help us go forward. Our game tomorrow against Bristol is going to be a very interesting one to watch indeed.

Well I feel sorry for Charlton fans as he (Bowyer) was doing a decent job for them.
I feel like he'll have a tough time trying to get us out of trouble, but I wish him the best obviously.
If he fails though then I personally wouldn't hold him responsible with so few games to work with, but not only that but he might still have Ren to deal with.

Let's hope though Mock.
Sometimes a change of manager can just spark something.
Okay, I may be clutching at straws I know.
I just hope things change and fast.

I'm gonna be optimistic and say that we'll beat Reading 3-2 tomorrow.
And I like Lee Bowyer personally so I hope that he can do well for us like he did with Charlton.

I think Bowyer has what it takes to keep the blues up. Tbh I think we would’ve stayed up last season if we didn’t have so many injuries, loan players being recalled and our main striker not willing to play but sometimes these things are just out of the managers hands.
Still gutted that Bowyer resigned tbh I still feel that the fans should’ve given him a bit more time (even though Bowyer chose to resign) to build a better squad because I think with the ownership change, fans were expecting immediate results which in my opinion isn’t realistic because our squad needs a lot of work, despite our position in the table.
We were 2-0 down to Bristol Rovers tonight, a team that are battling relegation. We did well to comeback and win the game 3-2 but If we are going up against teams like Peterborough, Hull, Doncaster etc. I doubt that we will manage to get a similar result. Our squad needs some big improvements most importantly our defence because even if we qualify for the playoffs this season, I highly doubt that much will come from it.
Qualifying for the playoffs will be like “papering over the cracks” so to speak.

Well Mock, with Coventry and Rotherham losing tonight, then a win against Reading is something greatly needed.
I like your optimism my friend, I'm a near wreck on match days/ nights with Birmingham now.:joker:

I personally think that Charlton did well last night considering all of the recent drama going around the club with Lee Bowyer resigning as Manager.
Admittedly though I want Hull and Peterborough to go up automatically as they might be nasty games for Charlton to have to play in the playoffs.:joker:
I actually fancy Charlton's chances against any other team in League One though, although maybe I'm being too optimistic.
Good luck to you guys anyway.

No offence to Coventry fans, but I see them as the team that I can see us overtaking to stay up at the end of the season as they seem to be very inconsistent, if we could just put a good run of form in I feel we could easily get past them.
My optimism rarely ever works when it comes to this Football Club, but it's a fresh start and hopefully we've got the right man for the job to crush Reading tomorrow night.

I think we did well in the 2nd half and I’m proud of our fight to comeback and win the game tonight. The first 30 mins were absolutely abysmal imo we shouldn’t be conceding 2 goals to a team that are battling relegation so early on. We had 2 shots on target in the first half, despite the fact that we scored both we should’ve had more chances than that.
Hull and Peterborough are two teams that we still need to play against yet and they will be very difficult games indeed whether it’s a normal league game or a play off semi final.
I actually admire how your more optimistic than me Mock  but we have some seriously challenging games ahead and I’m in some doubt as to whether we can actually get some decent results against these teams. I do hope that we manage to perform more consistently and string some decent results together.
Thank you tho and I also wish the blues the best of luck.
