Greata Thunderbird hasn't been able to fly all over the World spreading her toxic fumes.

That's been a blessing to us all.

My gf (we weren’t together at the time) moved from Tennessee to GA.

I knew of her through mutual frens and I used to have a huge crush on her. We met in person and she liked me back and now we have been together since the end of last year :flutter:

I’ve exercised more than I ever have in my life (though I thank getting an Apple Watch for that)

I’ve finally completed shows I’ve had on my list for YEARS (like 7 years in some instances)

And I’ve saved money

not much for me, but then again it still feels like normal life to me

my life hasn't been affected that much cuz of pandemic

i guess i did go looking for wider series interests on netflix, and started watching older stuff for first time, and opening up to animation series (camp cretaceous which i absolutely love, also easy to create in times of pandemic, since most of computer made anyway, just a bit of voice acting but you can socially distance that ofc, and animated series/movies has really improved for the better i notice to compared to many years before, more realistic)

more work in the garden, now our seating area structure has arrived today which we are gonna work on these next few days

more baking as a hobby (cakes and trying out different flavours)

so yeah been looking for lots of distractions to keep me in positive mood, since my mental health has suffered a bit with all the sadness in the world

I've completely sorted out my finances. I've decided that the act of physically going to work is the reason why I've always hated eery job I've ever had. Working from home is great I get far more done and dont have that hour and a half that I lose travelling to the place.

We have quarterly forums via Teams with Senior Management, and the top question asked each time is can we continue to work from home at least partially after the pandemic

Not much good sadly as far as I'm concerned.
However 2 things certainly have given me reason to take away from this pandemic, which are really special.

The first is, to have had my Mum with me all year and the quality time we have together.
While at Uni, I rarely saw my parents.
Then my work after uni, had me really busy and again hardly seeing them.

Then the pandemic had me get my Mum over from Co Mayo in Republic of Ireland to my home to ensure her safety in this pandemic.
So the time we've had so far, is amazing and very special.

However too, it's had me look at my work rate too.
I've found there's so much now I can do from home, so to reduce my own actual physical presence elsewhere.
So that's another major plus although that may not be possible in the future.
Unless I decide to be far more selective as to what I take on.
Which the pandemic again has shown I probably could do.

So those 2 things definitely are what I could term as good to have come from this period of the pandemic.

My daughter and her partner coming back up north to live.
First time since she went to Uni that we have had her living on our doorstep, she is down as my second carer so we see her quite a bit.
Can’t wait for life to get back to some normality so that we can have normal visits etc.:cheer2:

Am I the only one that is getting skinter in this pandemic then?

I have got worse with money D: Have had a lot more, but also spent stupid amounts on stupid stuff just out of boredom. Seemingly everyone else now has savings. I have a lower bank balance, and a pile of crap in amazon boxes next to the door instead..

Oddly, the best thing to come out of this for me has been am way closer to my family now than I have ever been.

We also finally finished the decorating after years. But have then...started redecorating, out of boredom, and are halfway through now :bored:

I’ve kept off the 11 stone I lost in the year before because there’s been so much time to exercise and also cook properly.

Also, I’ve “become a painter” after trying oil paintings - even sold a few and had a commission from a friend of a friend. Never expected that.

Vicky.

For me I spent more time with my parents/grandparents in the last 6 months than I have the last 8 years, me and my nana managed to do 8 seasons of RHOBH :hee:

I’m in a decent job bc of covid and I work with a load of great people, honestly going to be a bit disappointed when it all ends :eyes:

Oh AND I’ve gotten really close with a guy I’ve been seeing and I think lockdown has helped bc we haven’t had anything else to do

Not so much individual working from home but "big bizniz" being forced to very quickly update their way of working to carry out international business over video conferencing, rather than flying representatives back and forth around the world, is a huge win for the environment and hopefully something that will continue post-covid. It does also save these companies a tonne of cash, so it may well.

I finally got to go vegan, the only reason I was eating dairy was because of social situations but once those were unable to happen I finally just cut it out.

Masks - I love wearing them and it feels go to know I'm not passing bugs around.

I became so much closer to the people I love.
