i like the time change for the early winter mornings, also it gives a nice boost when the clocks change in march knowing winter is behind us

A SNP Angus
just asked the PM (Live Select Committee)
about next year
The SNP said the EU are not changing the time next year?

The PM just said he will take that away with him.

I forgot to put my alarm clock back once.

It was still in the kitchen, forgot to put it back upstairs, I overslept!

I think I would keep GMT all year round. I don't know what the argument for keep doing the change is.

I think from next year (or 2023) the rest of the EU is doing that and they’re not gonna change the clocks anymore

there are all sorts of explanations for shifting the time from farmers increasing the light in their working day to school kids not having to walk to school in the dark.

They did try 1 year not changing it, and all the kids had the reflective armbands they had to wear to school  I don't know if there was a higher level of accidents etc with kids or not. Things have changed so much since the last trial, it must be worth trying it again

Yeah, in that experiment they kept BST rather than GMT all year round.

I think that it is better not to wake up to darkness rather than not have darkness in the evenings.

Especially up here in Scotland.

Especially up here in Scotland. It's dark in the mornings a lot of the winter anyway, especially for kids who commute to school. When I was in school the most depressing thing was that it would get dark as I was getting home, if I got an extra hour of daylight in the evening instead it would have been lovely!
