I did, but only as so much fuss was made, and with Skye..how long the bloody labour was compared to the pushing! 30+ hours of labour with skye, about 5 mins of pushing, then cut without consent and they dragged her out with tong things!

James..not sure on pushing time as for some unfathomable reason, I refused to admit I was even pushing for a while D: They said I had to let them know, and they kept checking and I kept saying I wasn't when I was. Wasn't long though, as once they realised I was actually pushing, he was there a minute later :laugh: They asked why I said no, and I couldn't answer, and still to this day have no idea about it...

As for 'telling you not to push'?! I found it impossible NOT to do it when my body decided I had to.

Gavins neice just had a 'little' boy, 11lbs, and he was only 2 days late! Shes a proper petite thing also..he was her second though so she still said the first 6lb one hurt more..

Also take any drugs offered with both hands tbh. My sister put off drugs for ages, then decided she wanted them and was told it was too late. And the diamorphine and gas and air combination is divine...almost worth having another for sometimes! :D

Well he was breech for a while there so I was kinda at the point of thinking right there will be no pushing involved now but was at my growth scan yesterday and he's turned and head down so hopefully he stays that way.

Also some of the weight guesses are close to his weight just now, he's a bit of a wee chunk lol

Yeah it was quite a worry that he wouldn't turn although I did keep telling myself it doesn't matter how he arrives as long as he's OK that's the main thing.
