Id think they would need to go with a well known name and id go for someone like Amanda Mealing now she has left Casualty but I worry we will get someone like Katherine Kelly which would just feel like typecasting her into a role she pretty much already done

She has played a police officer or something similar in 3 major roles already i do think we need someone new to it rather then just typecasting people who have played a similar role well before

I don't know whether Covid hitting mid-filming caused some rewrites but it didn't all come together as well as previous series, that and them needing to devote most of the episode to Cassie's exit made it feel a bit rushed for me.

Well, Nicola Walker herself has played some form of police officer countless times prior to Unforgotten so it wouldn't be unsurprising.

But, I wouldn't mind it being someone like Sanjeev, a known name but not someone who you see on leading primetime dramas very often.

Yea I know Nicola has done similar but I dont know i just find it annoying when you see a lot among actors in typecast roles

They could risk a lesser known name but I think with this series being the hiest rated yet that they will want to improve on that and new people are more likely to turn in if its someone they know of
