Whether that be for music, the TV being too loud or anything else, has a neighbour ever knocked on your door and politely asked you to turn it down a bit? If so how did you respond, or how would you respond if that happened to you?

When I threw a house party when I was 16 a woman from up the street came onto the drive screaming at some of my friends for being too noisy for her children. She had walked far back up the street when I came running out to tell her to eff off. Still don’t know who it was but I accept I was out of order now obviously. Still it was the very first party I’d thrown so like don’t be dramatic.

No but I've had to complain about anti social behaviour more than once and just got a torrent of abuse.

It blows my mind that they could be pissed at YOU because THEY were noisy. :conf:

I’m surprised they haven’t (not because of playing music but I often do my workouts late in the evening because I work late). I live in a flat complex and so the flat below can definitely hear the weights. It’s lockdowns fault though because I’d be doing it at the gym otherwise.. I’m not willing to sacrifice my health because of this lockdown.

In the house I grew up in you could hear the neighbours shagging. The woman was really loud.

Uhhh I don't think so... even at uni flats/houses we had pretty forgiving neighbours, from what I recall. I've been at a house party where the police were called, but never my own house.

I've been the one complaining though (old next-door neighbours decided to have a house party JUST as the lockdown started last March, so I called the police on them :hee: they were then forcibly evicted by their housing agency).

I had a couple of parties at my parents house when I was younger, the neighbours complained but were ok about it, I apologised, turned it.down and they said they wouldn't tell my parents.. When the police showed up the following day to have another word about underage drinking.....my parents found out that it was a teeny bit more wild than the handful of people I had said were there.

That wouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone to be fair Joey.

One time I got knocks on the door because my friend was laughing like a witch, basically. She stopped immediately. I'm really conscious to never bee too noisy and hope to hell I'm not.
