I am going to Alton Towers in..... 5 Hours

With my school, I cant wait. The reason i am leaving at half 2 in the morning is because ii live in scotland and it would take a while to get there. I cant wait lol. I have never been before. :)
I hope its Sunny or at least ok Weather lol.

I went with school back in March- it was a great day out.
I've been 3 times, you'll have such a good time.

But the queues get ridiculous.
I lined up for Air for ages, got near to the front and the ride broke:mad:

Get your fast passes (If you can) and go on the best rides Rita, Air, Oblivian and Nemisis (So says my 14 year old) as early as you can or pick one or two of these first. Air and Rita are in the same section and so probably your best pick!

You'll have a great time.:dazzler:

I LOVE Alton Towers. I go well as often as I can. Queues are not bad if you know how to time your day. Get on Nemesis and Air in the morning and use single riders, if you don't mind sitting on your own. Hardly anyone uses them and you'll be on and off the ride in a matter of 5-10 minutes. I don't bother with the fast passes because single rider works fine for me.
Nemesis is amazing, went a couple weeks ago and went on 16 times in a day, using single rider. Also, don't go on Charlie and the chocolate factory, waste of time! lol.

Oh neat! I've been dying to go to tons of theme parks and that one's on my list! For now I'm just stuck with Six Flags Over Georgia. *sigh*

I have been wanting to go on Kingda Ka in Ohio, the fastest/tallest rollercoaster!

I love Alton Towers:love:

But there are the "Busy times" and when you go then, you might get on four rides only, if your lucky.....

I remember when I went on the Cockscrew Rollercoaster years ago & after the ride had finished, I lifted up the safety-thingy which protects you, and it fell back on my head.

A few laughed, but I never looked but only heard and left a little embarassed:blush:

I'm glad you had a good time Andy.

We loved our time there although we felt it overpriced because we booked a weekend there a couple of days before we went. It was an extra add on to a holiday we were having in Derbyshire and hadn't planned to stay there at all. I thought we had paid for two nights in the hotel and three days of passes to the parks (water park at Splash Landings Hotel) and Alton Towers but when we got there we found out all we had was the passes to the water park and the hotel. In the end we compromised and got the first day free into the park and if you book on your way out for the next day you get a reduced rate anyway so it worked out cheaper.
It was August 2006 and very hot. Happy days. Big queues :bawling:
