The Story of The Bay City Rollers was a sad one from what I can recall....I think they made other people a lot of money but recieved very little themselves. They were properly shafted...

Their two #1 hits in the UK, and one in the US.
they were crazily popular with young teen girls, never my cup of tea, but good Scottish lads

No I wasnt a massive fan...but they had a huge following. I went to see them at Wembley along with The Osmonds (-Donny) David Essex and David Cassidy....all from that era. I was a massive David Cassidy fan...but David Essex was the star of the night...

Aw no. My Mum’s favourite band when she was younger. She was absolutely obsessed from what she and other relatives have said - tartan sewn into her jeans the lot!
RIP.

Actually, not so much their singles releases, their album tracks contained some really strong songs.
A Sister-in-law of mine was crazy about them, had all their records, plus Les's solo album.
He had a really good voice.
Sad news and 65 only too.
R.I.P.
Apparently the Bay City Rollers were really big in the USA too.
