I'm not expecting to be celebrating much, if anything over this weekend from these elections.
I hope Labour retain power in the Welsh assembly, overall they've done well in Wales in the pandemic.
I would love to see Nicola Sturgeon with the SNP get a repeat result of last time or just get those extra seats to win something, that was thought likely impossible under PR, to get an overall majority.
I can't believe up in the North East another seat will fall to the Cons.
Really strange to reject a Con party in 2019.
To now add to it's power to be more heartless to the weakest in society.
Politics is a strange and crazy mess all through at present
We need PR now for ALL elections.
It's only Parliamentary and council ones that don't use PR in some way now.

The Lib Dem vote was actually down with a 4.8% swing from the party to the SNPs Robert Leslie.
So Jackie Dunbar is the first SNP MSP taking Aberdeen Donside comfortably, a hold for her party.
Remember Mark McDonald had to resign from the SNP and become an independent due to his behaviour towards women.
The turnout was 57.8% with a swing of 6.2% from the SNP to the Conservatives.
This was nowhere near enough to present a serious threat to the SNP, who won by more than 9,000 votes.

Nothing will stop the tories now, the public are too happy with the boot on their necks as long as that boot is blue.
Pathetic.
Patrick Harvie, the Scottish Greens leader, has blamed supporters of Alex Salmond’s nationalist Alba party for a “torrent” of homophobic and transphobic abuse during the election campaign.
Harvie said the abuse has included smears about paedophilia, abusive attacks on his sexuality and transphobic attacks on the gender identity of other Scottish Green party candidates, including the party’s co-leader, Lorna Slater.
“I have honestly never seen anything like the torrent of homophobic and transphobic abuse, not just at me but directed at other less high-profile members of my party as well, and of other political parties too,” Harvie said. “In the last year or so it has increased markedly and in the last few weeks it has been turned up to maximum volume, and it’s deeply disturbing.”
Scottish Green party officials said some tweets had been taken down after complaints to Twitter, but others, including homophobic slurs directed at Harvie, were still live on the platform.
Harvie said Salmond, the former first minister who founded Alba earlier this year, had also tolerated “some really dangerous conspiracy theories” from Alba candidates and supporters alleging, wrongly, that the Greens and leading gay rights groups endorsed cutting the age of consent to 10. “This is reminiscent of nothing more than the QAnon conspiracies in the US. It is genuinely dangerous for that kind of thing to enter Scottish politics,” Harvie said.
Similar homophobic and transphobic comments had been posted by supporters of George Galloway’s anti-nationalist party All for Unity, which is also putting up list candidates in Thursday’s elections, Harvie said. Galloway is standing on the South of Scotland list.
“A lot of it on social media has Alex Salmond’s party logo,” Harvie said. “And those in George Galloway’s other ego-trip party who are spouting the same stuff. I’m someone who has been in elected politics for some time, but if you’re a young activist in your late teens or early 20s it’s genuinely traumatic and dangerous.”
Salmond said he did not accept that Alba activists and candidates were guilty of trans- or homophobia, but said intemperate language was widespread in contemporary politics.
“Candidates, activists, members, supporters go over the score on social media,” he said. “I don’t think they should do that. I deprecate that, and I think social media tends to engender an atmosphere where otherwise sensible people step out of line, and they shouldn’t do it.”
Those included a Scottish Green party candidate in the north-east who had allegedly threatened violence against Alba supporters in a clash online about transphobia, Salmond said
In a statement, Alba denied its supporters, many of whom are openly critical of gender recognition legislation, were transphobes. “It is not reasonable to call people standing up for women’s rights transphobic,” the party said. “No amount of abusive slurs or physical intimidation will prevent Alba from continuing to stand up for the rights of women and girls as we have done in this election.”
Galloway said he, too, had been subject to threatening abuse online, including one alleged threat against his life by a Scottish National party supporter which Galloway reported to the police and said led him to suspend campaigning on Monday.

Keep an eye on tactical voting
Nick Eardley
Political correspondent
Over the next few hours, as Scottish results drip in, keep an eye out for the battle between SNP turnout and pro-union tactical voting.
I’m told Labour are confident in Edinburgh Southern – and believe tactical voting for their candidate has gone up. Labour sources believe that’s happening in some other places where there is an obvious challenger to the SNP.
Contrast that with Edinburgh Central, one of the top target seats for the SNP. The Tories are admitting that it is looking difficult for them in Ruth Davidson’s old seat.
If the SNP win there, the path to an overall majority is a bit clearer. In places like Dumbarton and East Lothian – where Labour will rely on tactical voting to hold the seats – things are still up in the air. It’s early in the day – apply caution. But keep an eye on this.

The SNP will be worried'
Professor Sir John Curtice
Polling expert
The first three declarations in Scotland show a six point increase in turnout. Evidently, the constitutional debate has engaged voters in Scotland, despite a campaign that has been limited by the pandemic.
Meanwhile Clydebank and Milngavie is the first central belt constituency to declare, albeit a safe SNP one.
The SNP will be worried about the fact that Labour's vote is up by as much as 10 points while their own is down by two.
There is as much as a seven-point drop in the Conservative vote which may be a sign of tactical voting in favour of the second place Labour candidate.

What's the story so far?
The latest results and key developments from the count:
Three seats have changed hands - all won by the SNP. Angus Robertson triumphed in Edinburgh Central, the seat formerly held by Ruth Davidson, with a majority of 4,732.
Earlier, the SNP took East Lothian from Labour with a majority of 1,179 and they beat the Conservatives in Ayr by 170 votes, the tightest result so far.
With 43 seats declared, the SNP have 36 MSPs, the Lib Dems four and the Conservatives two
Nicola Sturgeon was comfortably elected in Glasgow Southside, her vote just slightly down on last time. Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar came second, increasing his party's share of the vote by 8.5%
Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie was happy with a "stonking" win in North East Fife and there was also an increased majority for fellow Lib Dem Alex Cole-Hamilton in Edinburgh Western.
The Lib Dems held on to all four of their constituency seats but failed to take Caithness, Sutherland and Ross from the SNP, and their majority in Shetland was slashed to just 806 by the SNP.
The Scottish Conservatives have two MSPs so far - Rachael Hamilton was well ahead of her nearest rival in Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire although with a reduced majority, while Oliver Mundell increased his majority in Dumfriesshire.
The Tories came a close second in Banffshire and Buchan Coast, trailing the SNP by just 772 votes.
There was disappointment for Labour in Rutherglen where the controversy over the former SNP MP Margaret Ferrier failed to translate into a win over the SNP's Clare Haughey.
The full list vote results won't emerge until Saturday but in the small number of constituencies which have given details, Alex Salmond's Alba party is polling about 2% and the Greens 7%
Deputy First Minister John Swinney and Finance Secretary Kate Forbes were both returned with increased majorities. Ms Forbes took 56.1% of the vote in Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch
Ms Sturgeon told the BBC she felt "pretty happy" with the results so far. She says a comfortable SNP win "is certain", even if it remains unclear if she'll command an overall majority

If that's a dig at my comment.
Fair enough.
I stand by it however.
Across N Ireland, even in the DUP supporters there's dismay with the Cons and the government.
Scottish voters have strongly rejected the Cons for decades.
Now so do Wales
They're not stupid either.
There is however a good, not majority of voters across England ONLY who don't seem able to see through the Cons, nor even try to.

The Greens in the Scottish parliament support a new referendum.
They'll pass the request.
Johnson then needs to be made to decide whether he leads a democratic Nation or is he a Dictator to some of its citizens.
Because Scots voters will have elected the SNP and Greens, who both in their manifests were calling for a new referendum.

A party spokesperson confirmed Mr Seed had been disbarred, while Mr Seed told the BBC he had withdrawn himself.
Vote counting for the PCC post is due to start in Salisbury at 10:00 GMT on Monday and is set to go ahead.
If Mr Seed wins the vote, another election will need to be held.
He said he had been advised by his party that a 30-year-old drink driving offence would not affect his candidacy and that he believed he was eligible.
Mr Seed said he was "bitterly disappointed" that he will now no longer be able to take up the post if he wins the vote and wished Mr Macpherson's eventual replacement "every success in the role".
"I will continue with my work as a local councillor and within the local community, to which I have dedicated my life for the past 20 years," he said.

He was the incumbent.
This wasn't in any way a surprise to me from those I've contacted in the area.
