One of the three Astronauts who piloted Apollo 11...the first manned mission to the moon...has died. He piloted the ship whilst Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first men to walk on the moon.
He died of cancer age 90....

I couldn’t agree more. Imagine being the only one of the 3 to not make that step...just sit by and watch.

Yes but he did achieve something very few will , and it was massive ~ great man , great life , great age R.I.P

I am so sorry to hear this. We don't have enough real heroes any more and we've lost another great one. I hope he and Neil Armstrong have already met up and Neil's showing him the ropes.
