Shameless. Such a fall from grace when you compare the first few series with the last few.

I agree with those saying Misfits and Shameless they went from amazing to amazingly bad so quickly.

I'd add

Skins
Charmed
Glee
Supernatural

Gen 3 of Skins is so underrated but apart from the Effy special I was let down by the other 2

The Fosters final series was pretty bad tbh especially the way they made it clear they never wanted Callie to be happy

I wouldn’t include TWD, personally, seeing as it’s still running and the last two seasons have been a significant improvement over S6-S8. Those were pretty bad and what probably killed the show off lol

I’d say How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory. TBBT got particularly bad from S6 onwards.

I think basically all long-running American sitcoms feel a bit crap towards the end.

Frasier is probably the only one to avoid that.

Desperate housewives I still enjoyed it but it lost the whole mystery murder aspect that was so intriguing at the start

BBUK seems an unfair shout when 17 and 18 were both great... admittedly, 19 was abysmal, but still.

Everyone's already pretty much said my answers  but no one's said the Simpsons yet so I'll say that, if by "the end" you mean "by the year 2001".

I don't think anything can ever compare to the sheer nosedive in quality of the last season of GOT. The two writers who shall not be named should never get a major gig ever again after that, I've never seen a show that was beloved for years die so quickly and it's purely down to the lazy writing. The writers had other gigs lined up and they weren't bothered about finishing GOT properly but were too arrogant to let a competent writer finish it off properly.

Just amateurish beyond compare, I'm glad most of their projects since GOT ended have gone up in smoke. It takes a lot to kill a franchise completely overnight but that's what their finale did. Unless House of the Dragon slaps from the off, I think it'll be cancelled after one season.

Killing Eve. But that's since season 2 tbh. A limited story they tried to milk too hard.
