Dear God no.
Thankfully, she will never be queen. I can't remember the correct term, but it will be something like kings consort

I have doubts as to her getting to be termed it.
Let's see if Prince Charles insists on it however.

I have no problem with Camilla whatsoever, she’s one of my fave “Royals” - seems pretty down to Earth and lovely.
And the fact that she rescued a dog from a shelter just makes me like her even more!

I don’t think we will ever see Charles on the throne honestly - he probably doesn’t want the hassle at his age and will pass it on to William. (Imo)

i'm sure charles will take the throne, it's what he has prepared for all his life. The queen in her 90's has not played a full role for a long, long time, the majority of that work has fallen to charles, so he is already very familiar with what is required.

If it upsets weirdos with an unhealthy royal obsession or the idea that Diana was a pure spirit who didn't **** around behind his back as well, then sure x

I've voted no thanks, from a personal perspective.
However obviously it would have to be accepted if Prince Charles insisted and it was acceptable too likely to Parliament.

 I don't have a royal obsession but I do believe Diana was 'a pure spirit' yes. I sincerely doubt she cheated on him. Her relationships happened after the split.
Charles is flawed, Diana was flawed and Camilla is flawed. However it pans out, it will have zero impact on any of our lives. Thank goodness our fate no longer depends on who is on the hot seat

yes she is a stalwart
No way !!!
I still can’t believe that she even has the nerve to show her face after her well documented unforgivable behaviour

I hope he pushes for her ... he’s unpopular now so she could well be his downfall .. all rather fitting tbh

She would be the wife of the King.

I don't understand why Diana's other relationships get brought up, when we all know her marriage to Charles was long OVER .
The bloke was cheating on her with Camilla, the marriage was a joke to him.

She would become Queen Consort only and hold zero amount of power

Yeah... that sounds like the right descriptive term for her

i'm pretty sure her husband at the time was fooling around with princess anne, so there is that side of it too, and Mark Phillips, her husband at the time was fooling around with someone else

I was a big fan of Diana’s, but having affairs with married men who were hurting their wives when she knew how that felt isn’t something a pure spirit would do, more of a flawed spirit really.
But her genuine warmth and compassion made it easy for most of us to overlook her faults and failings which in many ways were due to the lack of true love in her marriage, imo.
Btw, Diana’s affair with the single James Hewitt started in 1986 and ended around 1991, she didn’t split from Charles until 1992, but of course Charles was having his affair with Camilla before and after these dates.

Whether Charles continued his affair with Camilla after their marriage is disputed. It is widely accepted (the Andrew Morton book which was aided by Diana) that their affair stopped on marrying Diana and didn't resume until several years later when, as Charles said "the marriage had irretrievably broken down".
However, throughout all this time, Camilla remained his confidante and they were in constant touch which was nearly as bad as far as Diana was concerned.
For those watching, this series of the Crown is really ramping it up for dramatic effect rather than the truth; the fact that the producer is an anti - monarchist tells its own story. :hee:

Seems like being connected to BUCKingham Palace does that to one. :hehe:

What does it say? I'm not getting what you mean. :conf:
the crown can dramatise inter relationships, but it can't change factual history. I think if we understand that, it puts it in context

I dont have a problem with it at all. I adored Diana and I despised Charles for treating her the way he did...and like most I didnt think highly of Camilla as the 'Other woman'.
However...its quite clear how suited they are as a couple. They wanted to be together long before Diana came on the scene. Camilla has dealt with the situation as the vilified Mistress in a very dignified way over the years..she has kept herself to herself and I believe she has made Charles a better person.

Diana was a wonderfully caring woman, but deeply flawed. Charles should never have married someone so young, but we've all been advised against stuff we've gone on to do. I have no problem with Camilla at all, I think she's down to earth and quite unassuming. No one on this thread, nor anywhere else, knows fully what went on; it's all just gossip and speculation. Half of marriages fail, I see no reason why the Royals should be different.
