Bawled my eyes out over the interactive end credits of Nier Automata

when the sacrificed saves join in

I also teared up during the “final delivery”/final cutscene of Death Stranding but hey I’m a dad and a lot of that game goes right for the dad feels :joker:.

Had a lump in my throat for the final chapters of Detroit: Become Human as well.


They’re all PS4-era examples because I’ve just become a generally more emotional person in recent years I think :think:. I wouldn’t have cried at anything at all in my teens/20’s. Stone cold :joker:.


I’m still not on the level of some others though - I watched a large grown man in a puffy jacket, sat on his own in the cinema, absolutely wailing at the death of Tony Stark. And I mean sobbing... snot everywhere... it was really something to behold. #goals

The closest I think that I've come to that in recent times was probably the ending to Final Fantasy Type-O.

It's not much of a game in all honesty but the story is just completely heartbreaking. I get misty eyed just remembering it.
