The thing with Ziggy is he takes peoples comments to heart and we already know he is always wondering what the outside think of him. I do think Ziggy is using the incident slightly to his advantage but the same way that Charley kept on in the Emily incident.

Ziggy is terrified of that the outside world think of him and he thinks he's being 'noble' by making this big act of seeing BB and asking to leave! He has NO intention of leaving at all.
