[At least 5,000 migrants have reached Spain's Ceuta
enclave from neighbouring Morocco,
a record number of arrivals in a single day, local officials say.

They say the migrants - who include hundreds
of minors - either swam around the
border fences that jut out into the
sea or walked across at low tide.
They are said to be mostly from Morocco.
Spanish media says Moroccan border
guards did not stop them.

Spain's Ceuta and Melilla enclaves have
become magnets for African migrants.
Early reports on Monday said more than
100 people had come overnight around
the coast at Benzu on the north side
of Ceuta, followed by some at Tarajal
on the south side.

Most were said to be young men,
but the group also included children
and several families.
Many had used inflatable rings and
rubber dinghies, authorities added.]

At least Spain will send them back to Morocco

[The EU border force Frontex
reports that illegal migration to Spain's
Canary Islands - off the Moroccan coast - has surged this year.
In most cases sub-Saharan Africans
make perilous journeys in rickety boats
and drowning is common.]

…this is always the time of year when many go for seasonal work, it’s always been the way so far as I’m aware…

….anyways, I don’t think that it mentions or refers to ‘invaded’ in that article ….but the last bit of the read gives a good and necessary balance as well…

However, the overall numbers of undocumented migrants reaching Europe so far this year remain far below the levels seen in 2015-2016.

i myself don't dislike migrants, but too many isn't good either

i don't want any more migrants/refugees in my nation as well, but i disagree with our hateful PVV troll Wilders who wants to deport those already living here, since most have built up lives for a too long time to simply deport them

but back on topic, good on Spain for refusing entry and sending them back, they got their own problems to deal with, and they cannot use these extra migrants

The way the Spanish army tear gassed and battoned them of a rocky alcove, I think they wanted them to swim back.

With the covid restriction lifted its highlighted how many as ammi said trickle in and out every year to work.
This year is no different except it's noticeable due to the lifting of lock down.

Has the fact that many of Spanish restaurant and hotel workers don't have residency papers mattered before?....no.

Are they a mobilised enemy army representing another country or entity? If not than 'invaded' is very peculiar and telling phrasing.

Interesting article on it:

In this incident, Rabat has once again shown how vulnerable Europe is to the
weaponisation of migration flows by other countries seeking diplomatic or financial gain.
Muammer Gaddafi tried to exploit European fears of a migrant flood from Libya before
he was toppled in 2011. Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan extracted a €6bn aid
package in return for stemming the flow of Syrian refugees into Greece in 2016.

Al JazeeraHD
had a great Report
showed a Moroccan Migrant
Male in early 20's
who can Cook,
Work on a farm
and can work on Computers.
He has learnt English, as well.

He Plans to sneak into Gibraltar
Hide in a Lorry?

Well he seems to know a route to break into
England.

I am sure they will catch him
send him back to his Horrid nation.
