Apologies guys, the link from The Guardian website will only link to the home page rather than the article, so if you want to read the article it'll be best for you to go to the website rather than rely on my links at the moment.

For those who don't want to click on the link, he died from an Acute Aortic Dissection.

And for those of you wondering who he is, he made a very popular Manga series called Berserk which I personally loved.

Anyway RIP Miura, I feel really bad moaning about the hiatus now after knowing that it was likely because of his health problems.

It's been a year since Kentaro Miura has passed away.

For me personally it's always a shame to see people pass away, but in this particular case it meant a lot to me as I'm not the biggest reader, but he told one of the greatest stories ever told in fiction with Berserk imo, I know that any half decent writer gets told they've written a masterpiece, but much to my family probably getting pissed off at me for it, I honestly think that Kentaro Miura joins a tiny list of creative geniuses in fiction with Berserk.

It's very rare to create a really dark & twisted world without it feeling try hard, the pacing always being on point, and fantastic heroes & villains, plus anything inbetween.

I'm not saying that he got everything right with Berserk (after 41 volumes of content there's bound to be some issues) but he got most things right, and most importantly he got all of the essentials right.

RIP, he'll be deeply missed in the Manga community.

Thanks for the help Arista.

I really couldn't get a good link.

Berserk is imo the greatest story to come out of Japan even despite the more controversial sexual content.

Imo it's quality is on par with GOT, in my personal opinion I think it has the edge in quality, but I get the subjective argument for two fantastic Fantasy series imo.
