View Full Version : Spanish army beat, teargas and humiliate foreign nationals at their border

A 2 hour long video that shows what really went on in spain on monday.

Kids being put in a pen, people being kicked and clubbed, people being tear gassed and clubbed back into the water. This is not america btw, this is spain..a member of the EU.

Why was this not shown on any news station?

Disgraceful, just as bad as the US' frequent human rights abuse, but one doesn't cancel out the other.

Why wasnt these beatings shown on the news?

Why were we shown the soldiers caring for them instead?

I'm not the editor-in-chief, and plus I don't watch news, I read it from a plethora of sources so I don't really have a lot of insight into what gets covered on TV news.

I can speculate though, I'd say the main reason would be that the people in charge didn't think it would track with audiences. We aren't known for being particularly sympathetic to people at the border, after all.

It is awful niamh..these exhausted souls were forced to run the gauntlet up the beach, getting beaten if they wernt going fast enough..beaten so hard they couldnt run no more, so they were dragged by the feat.

Others watching from the sea took refuge on a rocky alcove, only to be beaten and gassed back into the sea by these EU thugs.
