A drag queen from RuPaul's TV show got busted this weekend for allegedly pummeling her boyfriend -- who identifies as a man -- in what sounds like a bloody ordeal.
According to the probable cause affidavit, obtained by TMZ, Von'Du came home early Friday morning in what her boyfriend described to cops as an intoxicated state ... and was apparently upset when she found her BF sleeping there, even though the boyfriend says he'd notified her he was gonna crash.
The BF went on to tell police that what happened next was nothing short of a vicious beatdown -- claiming Von'Du proceeded to punch his face 4 to 5 times, strangle him, drag him across the floor and eventually push him into a bed frame ... which the BF says knocked him unconscious after he hit his head, making him bleed profusely.
Eventually, Von'Du's boyfriend said he was able to escape, found help and was hospitalized ... where the report notes he needed 14 stitches in his face and head. The cops say they saw the BF's injuries and, after a preliminary investigation, found probable cause to get an arrest warrant for Von'Du.

A mess, apparently she went on Instagram Live afterwards and tried to defend it...

This is deeply saddening. I'll wait to hear the full details. Widow's been through a lot of dark stuff and has had a really rough ride of things post S12 with racism and fans hating on her but this is obviously inexcusable.
…I feel very sad about this…there is a vid of part of the arrest…
The alleged victim told police that he was dragged across the floor, pushed into a bed frame rendering him unconscious, punched in his face four or five times, and strangled, the outlet reported.

…it doesn’t look good that her choice was violence and she’s not looking remorseful in the vid…just extremely angry…’just because his ass got beat up..’…
…he had 14 head stitches…

even if the bf wasn't invited in the apartment as claimed in the video, asking him to leave 5 times should have resulted in the police being called not beating him up into unconsciousness.
I like Widow but this is hideous and inexcusable.

Yes to this. I mean, we all get frustrated and angry sometimes, but we can’t all act like that otherwise we would kill each other. There were a range of options to be used before beating him up like that.
I can’t with the #freewidow on social media as if she was some kind of locked up world peace leader or something. Bro she beat him up into unconsciousness :skull:
….I keep thinking of Caroline Flack also and the events before her death…and I’m not inferring anything similar but I also hope that Widow doesn’t get bombarded with hate also on social media…and that this is just now all accountability through a justice system…she needs to stand up to what she’s done now and that’s all…I hate social media and that it’s so extreme…/…no balance of reason….

Sorry but isn't Widow Von'Du his stage act, this is a man who became violent with his partner yes? I think it's an important piece of information, not trying to belittle anyone but Drag Queens don't actually claim to be women.

It’s a common thing to refer to them as «*she/her*» because they’re known as «*Queens*» and right now I’m not sure how Widow identifies outside of drag? A fair share of drag queens identify as non-binary.
To some of them, drag was the opening gate to later come out as trans too. And they keep doing drag.
Regardless of gender, what happened is brutal.

I mean he refers to himself as a black man in the video posted?
Regardless, imo It's very important to record crimes correctly, or else we'll have figures coming out telling us women are just as violent as men when that is not the case at all

I suppose when they record crimes they look at official stuff like ID etc so the recorded gender would be whatever is on it, I guess. I get the worry but they’re drag queens, it’s an act they perform for money, not who they are entirely.
Drag Queen is not an official gender unless I’m wrong :joker: and pretty sure the police doesn’t use self-id gender too.

If you're referring to me, no I will not give it a break. I will always fight for women's rights and will always speak out for crimes to be recorded correctly. It protects women to do so.

and as will I? Window identifies as a man. It's just funny how you run to this thread with a specific narrative to come down on trans woman when this story is nothing to do with that.

According to the victim, an intoxicated Fry, who once described himself as weighing
290lbs, punched his partner in the face up to five times, strangled him, dragged him
across the floor and shoved him head first into the bed frame, rendering him
unconscious and bleeding profusely.
After Fry was taken into custody, he partially denied his boyfriend's claims but allegedly
admitted to saying in an Instagram Live video, which has since been deleted:
'some white boy tried me and got his a** beat.'
im just against violence in any form, whoever is involved. End of.

I think because the details are sketchy and we're led to believe the account of the victim of the assault (which... I mean... is obviously going to be one-sided... and it's all that the TMZ article runs with. No police reports, nothing...), there's an understandable backlash against this narrative. Widow claims that this is someone (an ex-partner) who broke into his/her home and refused to leave. Missouri law is a bit sketchy with regards to self-defence in one's own home. The violence sounds excessive when it's a list of injuries one party received but there's no telling really what went on

Yes and that's why we need to wait for full details. I was just saying it's a bit excessive and those IG gays will probably turn on Widow when all these details will be disclosed anyway  Nevertheless, that amount of violence isn't right.

They were berated for referring to the victim as a "she", because the article implies the victim is a trans male.

Unless mistaken, It was about the victim who was referred to by a member as «*she*» despite the article being very clear it’s Widow’s boyfriend. It wasn’t about Widow. And Widow is a drag Queen, not a transwoman. As it is usually done in the drag Queen world/fandom, people refer to drag queens as «*she*» for the fun of it. In drag race threads here, you can see us writing «*she/her*» etc

The victim physically is a woman and the attacker is a 290lb male - this will obviously be taken into account at the trial and i am sure this size difference was foremost in the mind of the attacker who knew he would meet little resistance.
and he will get a lengthy spell in jail for his cowardly racist attack

Is the person that Widow attacked a trans man? The TMZ is the only article that uses "identifies as a man". It doesn't make any difference, any violence needs addressing but I was just wondering as every other article just says boyfriend so wondered why TMZ were the only ones to use that terminology
