One of the trio of awesome kids' writers whose names go initial-initial-surname
RL Stine, KA Applegate, JK Rowling
I've watched the 2 that's been released I really enjoyed them
Isn't Ziggy in Stranger Things?

I saw a few clips of this on Netflix's "I like to Watch" with The Vivienne and Tia Kofi and I was shocked to discover it's from the Goosebumps writer... it's a lot gorier than I would have thought him capable of.
…yeah, the gore is a bit off putting for me but that’s just because I’m not a slasher movie person…it does have vibes of R L Stine, though which make it really fun to watch for the most part, must avoiding some scenes…over time I’ve honed skills at scene avoidance in movies but still enjoying the movie overall…

I hadn't idea the 2nd was out yet
The first one was just okay to me, it started off well and I liked the gore but it felt like a kids movie with gore really.

…I haven’t seen any of the Friday 13th movies, I’ve avoided the slasher of them …I haven’t seen It either and I think the second one was based on those two…?….I avoided looking at a lot of the gore bits but it’s impossible to avoid the audio and you could hear what was happening so that was quite gory as well…I mean, your head just fills in the visuals for the sound effects anyway…
…I did think that it was going to be more Goosebumps than slasher but I’m liking how the story and characters are weaving in so I do want to watch the last one…and overall it’s really well done…just gory…

Oh I never realised it was based on Friday the 13th but now you've said that I'm having a duh moment [emoji23]
Yep the gore is pretty hard to get away from wether you turn away from those parts or not

…there was a bit near the end…(…which I didn’t watch …)…but the sound effects went on forever…for the love of God, I just couldn’t cope with it and how descriptive the audio was as he slashed away for what seemed like several minutes…
I recall reading that the first part was meant to reference Scream, the second part was Friday the 13th and I can't recall the reference for the third part.
…it’s meant to be Terrence Malick's The New World, which is Pocahontas…so I’m not sure how that works but I’m looking forward to it…

watched part 1 last night
i quite enjoyed it, some of the way of filming reminds me a bit of ''stranger things'' but also the overall story very RL Stine Goosebumps all over, like with Nightwing, Ruby Lane, Skullmask serial killer
great acting too, never heard of Kiana Madeira before but she's quite a talent for this type of movie definitely
next monday i'll watch part 2
