ive tried them a couple of times because they are supposed to be a healthy alternative, but they are just unpleasant and what are they an alternative to, its certainly not a normal potato

I love sweet potato fries (am neither veggoe nor began).....I only get them in the summer of though. Not keen on sweet potato as a jacket but I do sometimes mix sweet potatoes and normal ones to top a cottage pie

They're alright but they do feel like a bit of a weird novelty rather than something I'd have regularly.

…They’re perfect with certain things, I think…I always find rice with a hot/spicy chilli really bland so prefer sweet potato fries with it…the sweetness balances and compliments the hot spiciness excellently…and sprinkled with chilli flakes for a little added kick as well…gorgeous…:lovedup:…

…like Annie does, I also often do a half and half with regular potato for a mash and that works really well and is delicious…:love:…they yam what they yam and they’re not regular potatoes, they have their own sweet character…. so respect and appreciate their individuality and a relationship with them won’t have to be a pretence…there’ll be real feeling and love and a long future together….:flutter:…

…actually I just remembered that I dice and roast them as part of my vegetable lasagne filling as well…I probably use them in other stuff, I just can’t recall…they’re nice added to vegetable curries….

the only way i could get them in any way edible was to spray them with olive oil, cut them into wedges and bake them in the oven, but i would still rather have a tatty

Wedges are to big...you could cook it for an hour and you would still get the disgusting mushy bit

Not from me you can’t, I don’t know where she got the idea, but my wife came up with chickpea curry with sweet potatoes, it’s great.
I baked a huge sweet potato once, it was very soft, I cut it open, lightly sprinkled some Tabasco powder in it, added feta cheese, then just a tad more Tabasco on top, it didn’t make my eyes water, but it made my nose run a little, tasted sublime though.
