A vote of no confidence has been passed in
former health secretary Matt Hancock
by councillors in the town of Newmarket.
Newmarket town council, in Suffolk,
passed the vote in its local MP Mr Hancock
after he resigned from the cabinet last month.
The Tory MP stepped down after footage was
published of him kissing an aide,
in breach of coronavirus rules.
The passed resolution claimed the
West Suffolk MP "demonstrated hypocrisy
and hubris in the pursuit of his own interests"
while serving as health secretary.
And it accused him of having "neglected the
best interests of his constituents".
After his resignation, West Suffolk
