She'd be partying up on some Caribbean island with fergie, both disgraced but good tabloid fodder.

It's an interesting question. The full press attacks on her relationship with someone who wasn't white, never really had the chance to blossom.

I think she'd more than likely be a defender of Meghan, and that alone would have worked to temper down the bile that's constantly thrown at her, and I also think the lives of those close to the crown are pretty much set in stone before birth, so I doubt they'd have turned out much differently.

I'm obviously speaking more about her family world, than anything wider.

I feel like Meghan would still get more hate than Dodi would have just because she's a woman

Yeah, i sort of agree with that. I think what they would have gone through might have at least helped prepare H&M about what was to come, and that alone might have made things a little better, as I'm sure a lot of their personal reactions must have been a mix of being flabbergasted and shocked.

For a few years, maybe, but as soon as 9/11 happened, and then followed by 7/7, things would have got nasty very quickly.

…no I don’t think that the world would have turned out differently or been very much impacted at all with any differences…but her children’s personal lives may have had differences had they had their mother in their lives…

Probably not vastly - although had the "rumours" been true, and if she did end up having another baby with Dodi Fayed, I don't think the future king of England having a Muslim half-brother would have had zero impact.

Dodi was just a rebound relationship after hasnat Khan a heart surgeon finished their relationship after two years because he couldn’t handle the press intrusion

Very disappointed, the statue doesn't catch the essense of Diana at all in her facial features, though granted probably hard to do in stone. I hope Wills and Harry are pleased though which is what matters of course...
Loved the children with her representing the amazing affinity she had with youngsters. I'm glad she wasn't alone. Bless you Diana.
