Is the anticipatory build-up to the weekend (Thursday evening to Friday afternoon) the most exciting part for you or does your favourite part come later on (e.g., Sunday)?

Some people might wonder why I included Thursday but I just feel like that weekend anticipation starts for a lot of people around then (probably because you know you've got Friday and the actual weekend to look forward to).

The best day is clearly Saturday. Fridays are one of my busiest days (Monday busiest, then Friday) and Sundays it’s “back to work tomorrow”…

As soon as work is done on a Friday I'm on cloud 9.

Well not Thursday that just drags. Friday is my favourite. It's usually a pretty chilled day at work plus we have a bit of a movie evening with the kids before bed and then have wine and snacks and Gogglebox etc. Saturday is alright just the kids tend to get very noisy and annoying and we all end up arguing but the evenings are good. I hate Sundays

Maybe for you. For a lot of people Fridays are the best.

Sundays (basically our one big rest day in the whole week)

also the day we just have a easy meal, usually bread day but sometimes pizza's or bistro oven breads

+ the day when we got most sport games on tv

I was the same only for me it was the heartbeat theme tune. As soon as the closing credits came on I had mini panic attacks! The song still gives me a bit of PTSD. I hated school. So much so I still hate sunday evenings even though I love my place of work

Is it that ridiculous for people to have more than one day off in the week?

It wasn’t so bad if you lived in civilisation, but I digress, Sunday was a good day when I was working, I could earn bundles in a relatively short space of time.
Now that I’m retired, all days are good, get up between 09.00 and 09.45, coffee and watch the news, then switch to mango juice.
Nurse another coffee and mull over having a cereal breakfast, or leave it until midday and have eggs Benedict and peppers for brunch.
Between all these decisions, doze off on the couch, dreaming that Emily Ratajkowski will be straddling me when I wake up, saying, “Come on Tireur mon brave, you know that you want to.”

To the people who voted Sunday, why?

…I don’t really have a favourite, they all have their finer points …I love Saturday evenings particularly for either a seeing friends night or a movie night …and I love Sundays which have always been more family get togethers …weekends in general are just gorgeous……it would be like choosing a favourite child….well actually my oldest one gets a bit annoying at times, my baby though…:flutter:…

…weekends have gone a bit awry the last year so looking forward to getting them back on track…

I can’t remember if I voted at all, but I mentioned that Sunday was a good day and why, in my post # 25.

Perhaps where you live, but I could get a Jubilee Line underground train at Bermondsey,
and be at Bond Street station in 15 or 16 minutes.
The station is on Oxford Street, where virtually every shop is open on Sundays.

When you do shift patterns, the weekend doesn't always feel like a weekend.

I'm not a fan of a Sunday's just because I feel like its such a boring day....more so than normal. I'm not good with just sitting around. I am very attention deficit so prefer to be busy or have some sort of purpose.
