Honestly, post-presidency Bush seems like a fairly decent feller. I've seen a few things that make me think he's actually quite traumatised by his time in office (the wars, the number of US troops killed abroad, etc.). Compare that to Trump who it's quite clear just does not give a ****.

yes he seems like a very nice guy, his wife Laura too, and his daughter Jenna i also quite like on one of their talk shows/news shows
post Merkel times, well i think either Markus Soder or Armin Laschet are very good choices, no real big changes which also isn't necessary, and both already have good bit of experience too as leaders

That's why Trump makes him almost look like a decent president.
Whereas Trump will go down in history as having the biggest L and refusing to accept it , like a crazy lunatic.

Bush seems to sorta acknowledge that he was in over his head after 9/11 and had no ****ing clue how to respond to it which is sort of fair enough as it was such uncharted territory
I remember an interview with him saying that he was never a 'foreign policy candidate' - he ran his campaign on the economy and hadn't really thought about global affairs pre 9/11

Hmmmm I dunno, considering his dad presided during the first Gulf War I think it's unlikely that he hadn't thought about it when running for Prez... but I imagine he probably planned to keep out of it more than he was allowed to in the end. No matter what way you lean on the truths of 9/11 and Gulf 2, I think it's fairly obvious that Bush wasn't entirely steering the ship when all of that was going down.

it was always stated, that his father regretted not being able to finish saddam off first time round, so this was the opportunity for junior to finish it, so maybe it was driven by his dad. To be honest bush junior was incapable of grasping even the simplests of concepts and there are a lot of examples of that even before he won the presidency

She's been leader since 2005.
Germany is the better I'd say for her leadership.
I commend her time in office.
She'll be very hard to replace in my view.

His reaction to New Orleans Hurricane Katrina was a huge mess aswell ,he did nothing to help them :facepalm: .

She's been leader since 2005.
Germany is the better I'd say for her leadership.
I commend her time in office.

well like i said both of the two main candidates Armin Laschet (CDU) and Markus Soder (CSU) are very qualified for that job
what i've also seen from them
Laschet currently is the PM of North-Rhine Westphalia, and Soder is currently the PM of Bavaria
thankfully the far right AfD has lost much power throughout the years, and as for the Greens well they haven't got a strong leader, but at least smart enough to follow the more popular parties
as for Merkel she'll step away from media/tv world for a while just to relax more, she also had confirmed that recently
