Considering the choices this country makes every time they are given a choice, probably not. The UK is a country of lemmings.

But they always pick the cons in the big votes, the conservative party are all about allowing people to make their own way in life whilst the party will try its hardest to eradicate the obstacles that stop those people getting what they want.

So imo, the public know what party will strive to make their dreams come true, and will always vote for that party.

you can never have every situation where things are best for everyone, all you can do is try and get a decent equilibrium. An individual will always know better what is best for themselves/ their families because their sphere of concern is miniscule compared to a governments
