"Chelsea rent boy" has been a longstanding song that all teams sing against Chelsea and their players, but it is outdated, homophobic and completely inappropriate.
I could find fairly recent examples of most teams in a rivalry with chelsea singing it, and much like the sectarian songs that are sung north of the border, it is way past time that they are eradicated from the sport.

So it's the job title that is your issue?
opposing football fans have always been a bit offensive, it's a cultural thing, they just need to find some new ways of being offensive

I think Liverpool sing about the Munich disaster as well
disgusting from their fans

It shows you're not actually serious about the OP, LT, and are using it as an attempted wind up, which is embarrassing but completely on brand.
Liverpool fans actually hammer our own fans in the ground for singing that song.
Of all the fans to accuse other fans of being out of order, Rangers and Celtic aren't the ones. Something, something, glass houses.

this thread is about Liverpool fans this weekend and their homophobic antics
you were very keen to condemn "England" fans in the summer and this week
will you condemn your own disgusting fans?
or will you stay silent?

I'd suggest I condemn bigotry in all forms, which is why I criticise your posts so often, and it seems as though whattaboutery around England was your actual true aim.

It's a silly comment to say the least.
Obviously though I do feel sorry for the innocent Liverpool fans who didn't make the comments.

You might be right that it's a large minority, either way these "fans" have definitely brought some unnecessary controversy to the club they supposedly love.

The fact football fans have kicked fellow fans to death over a game of football played by millionaires tells you all you need to know.

It's always happened, hasn't it? I remember the West Ham fans hissing at Spurs... Chelsea Rent Boy is an old, old chant and probably nothing to do with any one particular player. There are stupid, insulting people everywhere. We can't legislate for them all. Let the gob****es let loose... at lease then we can see exactly who they are.
So much crap going on in the world and we're back to moaning about sticks and stones.

I think a simple solution would be to be very clear on the terms and conditions of season tickets, plenty people on the wait list to take their place when they are kicked out
I'm sure his millions will have softened the blow somewhat

It's not a 'cultural thing', it's homophobia. It's possible to be passionate about a sport and not be a complete twat about it.
Liverpool fans have always been sh!t-houses. It comes from only being the second biggest club in the city. Very bitter people are Liverpool fans.

How you doing Alf? Any word on if Everton will still be selling half season, season tickets around Christmas time like they always do, to boost attendances again?

Yes.
Why?
Glenn.
16-08-2021, 04:59 PM
Can’t wait for this
Why?
Because then hes just another highly paid footballer who cant take stick from the crowd.
He's out on rent from chelsea ain't he? They must mean that if hes not gay.
If it's not that, and they do mean rent boy, as in the male prostitute hired out for sex, mainly to men, kind.
Then so what! Who's feelings are we protecting here? Male prostitutes?
We now have to protect the feelings of male prostitutes?
Glenn.

The events behind the origins of the chant are part of football legend.
It is a piss take, and shouldnt be seen as homophobic.
Nor should the feelings of male prostitutes be a world wide issue.

No, this is different.
This chant is about an event that happened and it's a chant used against a club and its fans...not against homosexuals.:nono:

The chant suggests that being gay is something to laugh and joke about. That's all. I feel similarly about people using women as adjectives to describe weak men - it just isn't funny to me.

It's more about being a prostitute.
