The way my house is laid out, I can't always hear knocks at the door from the lounge, so it's really annoying when postmen or couriers only knock, and then I get a "sorry we missed you" slip through the door when I was home ... The doorbell is right there, use it!!

And my house isn't even that big, I don't live in a manshun :joker: but it's an old build, the lounge isn't really that far from the front door "as the crow flies" but it has strange acoustics the way some old houses do.

Not a terrible idea tbh! I know it could be argued they should "do their jobs" and make sure their customers are in, but it's my problem that I can't hear the door, not theirs!

In everyday life we all have to press lift buttons,ring doorbells , touch items etc. We might not want to especially now in COVID times but just bring a hand sanitizer around with you :shrug: .

Eh. If I'm using a public touchscreen, like the things in McDonald's, I use my Knuckles rather than fingertips.

Well people use their knuckles to knock as a rule...unless you are prone to sticking your knuckles in your mouth at certain points of the day...

I know what you're saying,but either way you have to wash your hands , I personally always wash my hands especially if I've been on a bus touching hand rails or touching doors .
