To be honest, I think this makes ALOT of sense. And I agree with Laura completely

Chanelle knew she needed someone, it's not like he convinced her of it. It would be wrong to underestimate Chanelle's gameplaying just because Zach's is evident.

I've just said much of what I am about to say again.

They both know what they are doing. They need each other and they are not hurting anyone else and will likely not hurt each other (because they both know the rules. Chanelle is not stupid, she didn't fancy Ziggy and you cannot turn on your emotions as suddenly as she did if you don't fancy someone?
As for Ziggy, he selected the most attractive girl in the house (in his opinion) and yes maybe he fancied her but that's just it. It's lust not love.
