My issue here is the fear that the money men may not let her lose ..

I’ve seen her fights and she could have lost at least one of the recent ones

I don’t like the way she’s constantly allowed to hit the girl behind the ear/ head .

That’s a foul shot

I don’t watch women boxing to be fair , I don’t even like the idea of it in the first place ..

I’ve only seen Katie Taylor’s bouts because they’ve been jammed in between the ones I wanted to watch.

She was apparently fighting a woman who normally fights two weight classes lower which is about 16lbs .. quite a difference tbh

Labelling someone unjustly as sexist is ‘actually’ offensive .

Anyone and everyone who knows me would die laughing at the suggestion !

It’s more like a generational thing .. given I place women above men 99.9% of the time in just about everything

In my day women and girls just didn’t fight so it just doesn’t sit right with me at all .

I’m done with you now .. I’ll block your comments in future

Don’t bother responding !!

Not respecting female athletes in the same way as men in the same sport is sexist whether you think it is or not

One last time ..

It’s not a case of not respecting or disrespecting female boxers / boxing .. I simply don’t liked the whole idea of it - it just doesn’t sit right or feel right .

I can’t make it any simpler than that .. but there is a clear difference

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ProIt's sexist. If you think it's fine for men but not women it's sexist.

If you respected the fighters and their choice to fight, you'd keep those thoughts to yourself but you don't so....

It’s more a case of me not being happy or at ease- seeing two women hurting each other !!

Surely that’s better than the people who ENJOY two women beating the hell out of each other in the boxing ring or when they’re drunk on a night out !!!?

The same way I don’t like seeing two dogs fight - because I’m an animal lover .

By your logic I don’t respect the choices of the dogs

Jesus wept !!!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ProWe're talking about a sport here, talking about dogs fighting in the street now wtf? Also, if you didn't like the Sport full stop maybe you'd have some sort of a point but that's not the case so you don't have any point with this odd comparison.

Also, do you watch on and cheer if you see 2 drunk men fight outside the Pub? I didn't think so.

Why are you being so obtuse ??

I’m starting to wonder if you’re just bored or on the ‘wind up’ tbh

I’ve already said that it’s probably an ‘age’ thing .. I simply don’t like seeing women fight ( anywhere) - that’s not because I’m sexist it’s because I care about them .

Boxing and UFC are the ONLY things I don’t like women participating in .

Surely that has clarified the situation.

Clearly my interest in this is because I'm a woman and a fan of both Boxing and MMA, not because I'm "bored or on the wind up" Katie Taylor is a trail blazer for womens Boxing, was instrumental in getting women's boxing in to the Olympics and raising the profile of women's boxing in general. She fought very hard to do this outside of the ring as well as inside so it's insulting for men to come along then and just say women shouldn't compete in combat sports after all Katie and other female fighters had to go through to get it where it is atm. You implying that I don't actually care about this and I'm only debating this with you because I'm "bored" is also dismissive and trivialising my own interest in the Sport and subject of women's sports in general.
