Pride, envy, lust... No it's not a normal day in the House, it's their latest task...

While none of the housemates could ever claim to be model citizens, Big Brother's Seven Deadly Sins Task looks set to divide the House.

One housemate will be called to the Diary Room where they will find seven 'Sin Bins', representing sloth, gluttony, greed, pride, lust, envy and wrath. Using cut-out faces, the housemate must choose which fellow housemate is most guilty of each sin.

Big Brother will then test the housemates on how sinful they are. If housemates prove themselves to be saintly and pass the task, they will receive a luxury food budget for all. If they fail, there'll be hell to pay...

The housemate called to the Diary Room must not reveal their part in the scheme - let slip and automatic failure will be the payoff.

Exactly who will cast the first stone is unclear but come back later to see if it will be an eye for an eye...

I'm now going to say.

I remember it. and I don't see how you can have pride in being in the daily star.
I doubt the team saw your vid. They've got better things to do.

Some housemates are more insightful than others...

As the housemates dozed and grazed their way through an uneventful morning Big Brother made an announcement: "Could the most insightful housemate please come to the Diary Room."

The ensuing stampede wouldn't have looked out of place if Madonna had launched a range of jewellery at Elizabeth Duke.

Gerry's eyes darted immediately towards the door, but he was already too late. Carole and Jonathan were elbowing each other out of the way as they tried to leave the bedroom. Brian, displaying the athletic prowess of a gazelle, vaulted over furniture in a vain attempt to beat Carole and Jonathan to the Diary Room door.

"I'm the most insightful," he cried defiantly as he tried to wrestle Carole and Jonathan out of the way.

"You two don't know nowt. I know stuff about popular culture and youth culture and that," he added with a flourish.

"Let her have it - she's a control freak," spat Jonathan walking away. Brian was on fire.

"I'm insightful, I'm insightful," he cried almost pitifully.

Then, Jonathan re-entered the fray and grabbed the Diary Room door handle with a vice-like grip.

"You can have it when you take my cold dead hands..." his voice trailed off as he attempted another bluff.

"Alright," he said sounding defeated. "Ladies first," before trying to get Carole in a headlock.

And then a late starter arrived. "I think it's me actually," said Laura loudly, "it's the most logical, not the most excitable," she added, pulling a face at Brian.

"I'm insightful, I'm insightful," cried Brian like a child that's just had it's ice cream stolen.

Maybe next time, eh Brian?

So...

Laura is Sloth
Nicky is Envy
Liam is Lust
Ziggy is gluttony
Charley is Wrath
Amanda is Pride
Tracey is greed

They all have to do individual tasks to rid themselves of their sins.

Amy

The hosuemates were told they could not take their badges off through the whole of this task.. I can't see Ziggys on him!!!

Match the sin with the housemate. Simple!

Following the scrum to be first in the Diary Room, Carole managed to fight off the other housemates to be first in and so take control of the task. In order to make the task a little easier to grasp, Big Brother provided Carole with definitions of the seven deadly sins.

By 'sloth', Big Brother meant the housemate who spends the most time lounging around the House. Laura got Carole's vote. "What's sloth anyway?" laughed Laura.

Greed signified the housemate who puts their own needs first. Carole chose Tracey, who just sat open-mouthed and shocked.

Carole's next choice was the housemate most guilty of overeating, ie, gluttony. Ziggy's name was called. "I can't deny that" he sighed.

When it came to lust, and who says and thinks the most lustful things, Carole had just one person in mind. Liam. "It's not true, it's a dirty lie," sniggered Liam.

Sitting on the sofa, Amanda was totally shocked to be accused guilty of pride, despite spending the most time looking in the mirror. Amanda just responded with a squeak, but it was unclear as to whether it was shock or joy.

By 'envy', Big Brother meant the housemate who spends their time envying other housemates instead of being content with themselves. Nicky's name popped up. Nicky remained cool behind her sunglasses and just shrugged.

Carole's final nomination was for the housemate most guilty of wrath - the one who's the most angry, has the most arguments and shouts the most. Unsurprisingly, Charley was the recipient. Charley understood fully, and simply hanged her head and laughed.

"If four or more housemates pass, a luxury food budget will follow, and if all seven pass there will be a party based on sin and excess," Carole added. "But," she said with warning in her voice "if four or more housemates fail, the group will receive basic rations."

Best not let those halos slip...

Also Amanda is dressed as a hot dog she's not allowed to take the costume off unless she is showering.. and can't look in the mirrors.

I love it when Charley argues.. she goes into a rant and I'm sat there wondering if she'll take a breath and what she's really saying. I don't think she'll manage this.. she will have to argue.. it's in her nature.

Hold the Onions
Day 33, 15:45

Amanda makes the housemates hungry...

After being pronounced by Carole guilty of the deadly sin of pride, Amanda was summoned to the Diary Room to find out her part in the Seven Deadly Sins Task.

Dressed as a giant hotdog, Amanda emerged from the Diary Room looking like an extra from a Disney ice spectacular. The laughter arrived quickly and showed no signs of subsiding.

"Oh, fantastic," said Carole, barely able to keep a straight face.

"What've you got to do?" asked Charley bemused.

"I've been stuck on the Diary Room floor for ages," squealed Amanda as she tried to maintain her balance. "Ooh, what's happening to my hotdog?" she laughed as she staggered around.

Gerry was mightily impressed by Amanda's new sense of style. "You look so cute," he giggled, giving her a big hug.

"I wanna be a burger," cried Laura.

Naturally, there were a set of rules and regulations to follow, and Amanda read out the most important parts.

"The proudest housemate must wear their outfit at all times," she said, before adding, "The proudest housemate must keep looking in mirrors to a minimum."

It will be tough, but we're sure Amanda will relish her meaty role in this task...

Anger Management
Day 33, 17:09

Hell hath no fury anymore for Charley...

Imagine this: One feisty bird, a smoking ban, lots of rain, and absolutely no arguments, swearing, shouting or grumping whatsoever. Sound improbable?

For said bird, Charley, surely it's nigh on impossible?

"As the most wrathful housemate you're not allowed to show anger, raise your voice or scream," Big Brother told Charley, revealing her slice of the housemates' latest task.

"That's not fair, I wanted an outfit," was the only response she could muster.

Mulling over the implications, Charley assumed her sweetest, nicest, politest voice. "So I just don't argue with anybody, or raise my voice. Walk out of the room when I see it coming - which I will."

Her new leaf didn't last long however...

In her next breath, Charley's volume increased. "I haven't had an argument for three days, except for today when Liam pissed me off."

"Sorry," she said, softening once more.

"Brian shouted at me and I told him not to raise his voice at me, please. But I'm not going to argue no more and I'm not going to give any sort of anger, or hissy fits, or fury, or the red mist, or seeing red. Honestly."

We believe you Charley... Honestly.

Eat Me
Day 33, 20:18

Ziggy bites his gluttonous lip as Big Brother lays on a tempting spread...

Food glorious food... except for Ziggy, that is. Summoned to the Gluttony room, he was met by a table laden with an embarrassment of riches. Suckling pig. King prawns. Cream-filled chocolate doughnuts. BLACK FOREST GATEAU!

"To absolve you of your sin of gluttony," began Big Brother, "you must not eat any of the food provided."

Surveying the spread, he almost broke into a sweat. "It's all my favourite foods," he said, breathing in. "It's a good spread. You've done well."

As he read the rules - look but don't touch, essentially - Ziggy seemed like he was going to cry. "Aw man, this is going to be impossible," he said.

"All my favourite foods," he repeated. "Can I smell it? Can I not take this back to the other guys? Those doughnuts look the nuts!"

With Food Glorious Food playing helpfully in the background, Ziggy circled the table like a vulture circling its prey.

But will he pounce? It's hard to say.

"How long do you have to stay there?" called Gerry, as a blind went up to reveal a window so all the Housemates could watch whether he'd snaffle a prawn.

"It's easy," Ziggy told Chanelle through the glass.

"Not if you're in there for two days," she replied.

"Two days?" he repeated, shocked.

Don't worry Ziggy, there's no bed in there...
