Nope.....I had an accident when I was a kid and ended up needing a lot of dental work so that took any fear away.
The opticians on the other hand I hate...
I don't like the dentists, but I'm not scared of going. I do need to go and make an appointment as it happens because one of my teeth snapped in half eating a sweet, and I just left it, but now it's starting to give me on and off toothache. I'll get around to that one day.
Remember the gas as a kid? That was horrible.

Yeah...it was. I woke up after one treatment with no shoes on....apparently I fought them when they were putting me under and kept kicking the nurse

I always remember the walk homes after having teeth taken out. Spaced out with a mouthful of blood. My mam would put a scarf around my mouth so the cold didn't get in.

When my son was younger he shoved a bead up his nose at school and ended up in hospital to have it removed as they couldn't get at it. He went bat **** crazy when they came at him to put a canula in so decided to gas him. I was with him when they put him under and the Doctor said, "in 5 seconds he'll start to fight it" right on cue he did. Was awful watching it...but the doctor said everyone does it

I'm not frightened BUT then I've never had any major dental work done as an adult or kid... and I think it's bad childhood experiences that make people scared of them? Most I've ever had is a filling in a baby tooth. My second-from-the-back molar on the right has been a bit achey on and off for a couple of weeks though. I can't visibly see any reason for it so I'm probably going to have to get it checked out. Maybe I'll be scared of dentists after that.

Oh same, anything eye related terrifies me. Dentist is fine, I mean I don't love it but I'm not scared going there

I haven't had anything major done either, not even a filling. I was there yesterday though and I had to get a local anesthetic injection into my gum because she wanted to deep clean one of my back teeth, honestly wasn't even that bad

I occasionally have wisdom teeth try to push through (none of mine ever emerged, they don't even exist at the top but both are "in there" on the bottom) so the most I've had as an adult was them prodding around when one made an attempt at freedom a few years back. There isn't room for them so it would probably be an extraction if one made its way through. They always retreat after a few weeks though. I thought the pain this time would just be that again but I've narrowed it down to that back molar. It's not even that sore, just annoying. I wonder though... if they for some reason had to remove it, would that make the space needed for my wisdom tooth to come through?.

Oh same, none of my wisdom teeth ever came through either and if they tried they'd have to come out as well because there's no space there for them (I doubt they ever will though at this point) I actually still have 1 baby tooth as well

They've "evolving out" which is quite interesting, apparently it's actually very rare to have all 4 wisdom teeth (not just that they don't come through, they're not even in there at all). Like I said I have them "in there somewhere" on the bottom but on the top they don't even exist.
Also interesting about the baby tooth! My daughter is 12 very soon and she's thus far only lost one baby molar . She got all of her adult front teeth when she was 6 - 8 and then they just... stopped falling out... she basically still has all of her baby molars. I'm sure they'll come out eventually but apparently most people have lost all of their baby teeth at 12. She's nowhere near :joker:.

Oh that is unusual. 12 is pretty old alright to still have so many baby teeth. The reason why my last one never fell out is because there was no big tooth under there. The dentist could tell that with an X Ray on your daughter though

Not just scared, an absolute phobia.
Taking the kids was a nightmare, just for their check ups.
Nothing to do with pain, just a real fear of I know not what.
Optician is fine, as long as he hasn’t had garlic the night before.
Had injections in my eyes and cataracts done in both eyes, no problem.
