Who hasn't sung 'Hey, we're going to Ibiza' in their life? The line, of course, comes from the vengaboys' iconic song of the same name. The band, which was extremely popular in the 90s, would like to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022. But not for the Netherlands.

No, the Dutch group, has offered to represent Great Britain at the song festival next year. The band can't help but notice that James Newman didn't manage to rake in a single point with his song 'Embers' last year.

In the British newspaper Metro Robin Pors says that the Vengaboys can represent Great Britain well next year. "I thought it was embarrassing that they didn't get a point last year because they were so good. The song was fun and so was the singer, but still they didn't get any points. How is that possible? We would like to do it next year. We love the UK."

Have they just ripped off Charli XCX 1999 and Anne Marie 2002?

a cover yes

same what Steps also do

maybe ESC is good for them indeed, to come with own new work again

and UK definitely needs them, more cheesy feel good crowdpleasing act, rather than going competitive with basic pop (which doesn't work anyway)
