View Full Version : A dogs worst time of the year
Fireworks time
The dogs don't like this time of year.
Somebody is letting fireworks off right now near me and all I can hear is dogs barking.
Tough times, what with covid as well.

They drive me mad, along with my Staffie.
He REALLY panics.
I have to sit tight close to him, one arm keeping him tight beside me.
Plus I can't move until they ease up or stop.
I mean if it was just a night or a few nights, fair enough. However they're going off weeks and even months before guy Fawkes night.

I don't understand why people waste their money on them, they're boring. What exactly is the thrill?

I agree.
I was never a fan of them when I was a child either.

Due to China.
This Year.

An honest traveller will still sell his fair share
There were deafening fireworks round here earlier. Our cat was lying dozing, he lazily lifted his head, gave a disdainful look in the general direction of the noise, had a good stretch and went back to sleep.
I love cats.

Our little doggie used to hate them...shivering, shaking and very distressed..he is 14 now and deaf as a post so he wanders out into the garden oblivious

Mine's not arsed. She doesn't really do "fear" as an emotion... too dumb. She only has "Happy", "A bit confused", "Hungry" and "Need out to the toilet". Fireworks directly overhead may trigger some "a bit confused".

Not sure you can even class "hungry" as one because that is just default 24/7.
