Ugh, it’s officially that time of year again…

I get up at 6.45 on weekdays. This morning is the first morning that it was still pitch dark when my alarm went off. So much harder to wake up when it feels like it’s still the middle of the night :bawling:.

Also my daughter started high school this year and her bus is at 8am. In a few weeks, it’s going to be still pitch dark when she leaves for the bus… :umm2:. Luckily her stop is literally at the end of our street and loads of other kids get the bus there too. Otherwise wtf, is she just meant to wander off alone in the dark?

Though I guess I actually remember doing that as a teenager and loving the dark mornings  but these days… nah not for me at all.

So how about it tibbers. The dark mornings - love em or hate em?

Between now and Christmas, I love it. I love getting up and the house is silent and dark. First brew of the day with the lamp on, listening to the rain on the windows is utter bliss.

Cone January though, I've had enough and want light bright mornings back.

I don't mind it so much in the mornings (tbf though I don't leave home till 8:30am so it's not pitch dark at that time. I hate leaving work at 5:30 though and it's dark out, feels like you really have no day left after work

Everything is an adventure when you are young but as time goes by you grow tired

Me and my partner say in the mornings when we are still both tired
What dick head invented work.
