I was going to say nothing based solely on the name but actually yes I have read about this. The story reminded me of another story about UK female prisoners possibly having extra time added to their sentences if they misgender trans identifying males who are housed in the female wings. They reminded me of each other because it's gas-lighting at it's absolute finest imo

Tbh the boy's family should also be investigated - sexual behaviour in someone relatively young is often an indicator of abuse; trans-identified people also often have (https://www.nature.com/articles/ijir201139) faced child abuse.

Thats genuinely disgusting.

Both that they are in that situation to start with, and can then be punished for accurately identifying said situation.

this seems to be another example of the same basic problem Men taking advantage to prey on the vulnerable. What I will never get my head around is how blind some people are/choose to be to the obvious problem. I basically think that society has tied itself in knots and there is little chance now of untangling the mess
