[He's in the kitchen, bleeding to death.
Can I get my coat?' Chilling bodycam
footage shows moment pensioner
in pyjamas is arrested after stabbing
her 'abusive' husband and leaving
him to die on floor
Penelope Jackson, 66, talks police through
what she allegedly did to David Jackson, 78,
in Berrow, Somerset
She says 'if there's any luck you'll be too late',
'I should've stabbed him more',
'I might go and stab him again'
But during her arrest Jackson appears
more concerned with retrieving her coat and slippers
from her house
Jackson is on trial for the murder of Mr Jackson
after he was stabbed three times
at their £300,000 bungalow
She is accused of killing him with
a kitchen knife after claiming she could
not put up with the retired colonel]

Get a Divorce would be far better.

LOL, she does, just been on the news, she wasn't really fazed that she had just stabbed someone and her hubby at that, it's a mad world, as arista said just leave him if he was that bad.

He told her she would not dare stab him.....................

Who knows the dark secrets of a marriage, but i don't think there is any doubt that she meant to do it. If it were a man he would get a slap on the wrists but she will likely be locked up forever

I don't think it's helpful to release this stuff for public consumption. No one knows what drove her to it and yet people have already made up their mind that she's deranged.

Exactly.

We could be seeing a woman who’s had a complete breakdown from years of abuse and just reached the end of her tether. It’s not uncommon in cases like this where victims finally lash out and are just as cool as a cucumber and seem relaxed and “normal” when doing so.

Like you said, nobody knows except them. Awaiting the trial before I cast assumptions.

Just seen the video on the news, I think she is deranged whether that is due to years of abuse or not remains to be seen

Would you say the same if it were the husband who had just knifed his wife?

What have the police gained from releasing this bit of video? If this is going to trial then every potential jury member in the country has probably seen this now and made up their minds already.

This trial is currently underway and this is what was shown to the jury yesterday

David Jackson's estranged daughter Jane Calverley accused the defendant of being the abuser in the relationship and that her father would never have asked for help because he would have been too proud to admit to being bullied and abused by his wife.

Disgusting result he was a vile abuser, they even had witnesses who said he held a knife to her throat, domestic violence means nothing to anybody in this country as rarely do the victims get true justice

The estranged daughter who hasn't spoken to or seen him in years is not the person you can trust while the daughter who was there has said he had a history of abusing her

Quote from their daughter who was having dinner with them via Zoom on the evening it happened

The pair had eaten the meal with their daughter and son-in-law, Isabelle and Tom Potterton, on a Zoom call as the birthday took place in lockdown.
Mr and Mrs Potterton told the court they believed the row had blown over before the call ended.
But later, Mr Jackson called the emergency services after he had been wounded, and his wife stabbed him again while he was on the phone.

Mrs Potterton said "my whole world fell away from my feet" when police knocked on her door to tell her what had happened.
"I had not only lost my dad but I had lost my mum too. My life was changed forever," she said.
"I have lost the man that I looked up to and loved. I have lost the man that was always there for me no matter what," she added.
She said she still loved her mother but that their relationship would never be the same.
"I have lost the woman who always knew how to make me feel better. Yes I know mum is here but she's not the same person I knew," said Ms Potterton.

there were no standard characteristics in the womans behaviour that would suggest that she was abused in any way. She stabbed her husband and when he then called the emergency services for help, she stabbed him again and killed him while he was on the phone.

She was cold, calculated and in no way abused in the video shown after the event. I don't know how much more evidence people need to say she was guilty

You do understand how years of abuse will take every bit of emotion out of someone

All these does is tell victims of abuse they if they react back to their abuser they will be punished and will make it even harder for people to admit they are victims of abuse but tbh what do you expect when its a crusty old white man as a judge

And why we are at it they purposely released the footage of her to give her an unfair trial but why do they never release footage of the 100s of men who have killed their partner? The conviction shouldn't have stood because it was an unfair trial
