And by that I’m asking if you’d rather spend a Friday night working your way through pints of Fosters with your pals (or a bottle of red wine at home) or bare shots of tequila and vodka.

Again, the very nature of this thread makes it clear who the intended audience is so “I’m teetotal” really isn’t an answer.

Try making threads that are inclusive of most members instead of the ones that only interest you would be a better option

White wine if I'm sitting at home and if I'm out at the Pub I drink bottles of Budweiser

The worst thing about my choice is you have to drink a lot of it.

Then try and get a peaceful, undisturbed nights sleep. At my age, that doesnt happen. So I'm thinking about going back to the pink gins.

A nice big whisky, few cans and then 2-3 big glasses of wine (in my glass "cup of death" as it is affectionately known) does me fine of a weekend

Nah. I have a right to express my own interests. Most of my threads are pretty inclusive but some are more intended for certain people and that’s also fine.

A thread about weed or alcohol obviously isn’t inviting anti-stoners or teetotallers (unless I’m entertaining a broader discussion about the topic) as those people will add literally nothing to the conversation.

You’re welcome to check out my more neutral/“inclusive” threads if that’s what you need to feel included. Teetotalism and anti-drinking vibes are just going to ruin this thread so if that’s you, dip.

I do that all the time...make the same threads, I blame the weed n alcohol though, and not myself.

It's also a bit of a dick move to be checking peoples past threads, especially when you have better things to do.

Depends really.

Though I find wine tends to **** me up much more than any amount of spirits (except rum). Same for lager for some reason even though its so weak.

I said nothing about the distinction between soft alcoholic drinks and spirits. If you’re going to bait at least get your facts right.

Also. Being able to say when I made a certain thread in such an oh-very-precise way is creepy and borderline stalker-ish.

If you had the capability to be that exact about the timing of my thread you could’ve been exact about the content similarity (if you were, you’d see that that thread is completely different). But you’re obviously just trying to get a reaction so I’ll leave you to it. You’re welcome to keep trying to get a reaction but I think your time might be better-invested elsewhere.

Jack Daniels in my more … robust… drinking days. If I’m going out now I’m lightweight as a feather, usually cider (obscure/fancy ones if they have them :hee: ).

I’ve never been able to drink beer, makes me bloat instantly and gives me reflux. Just does not sit well at all.

I did go through a rather pretentious “wine phase” at 17 :joker:.

Same, well If I'm out and get too full of drinking beer I might have a couple of gin and tonics or captain morgans and coke at the end of the night and If I'm out with the girls we'll usually have a few baby Guinness shots

I’m definitely more into spirits, although these days I’ve become partial to an occasional cider and black, cause I’m ‘ard.

I honestly see that argument as the same as going into the football section and whinging that people are not talking about all sport

Gin used to be my staple (two or three years ago) but these days I just stick to beer for the most part. I have a few G. & T.s at the bar from time to time but it’s rare (literally less than five times a year). I don’t really drink spirits like that anymore (probably because I take marijuana quite a lot so I have less inclination to drink in general).

I probably get through the equivalent of one big bottle of Lambrini and a crate of beer over the week(end) and that tends to be my lot these days. I’ll indulge in spirits (usually gin) when I’m in a liquor kind of mood but I’m rarely in that kind of mood these days.
