Shouted at him, told him to go arrest some rapist coppers instead of ticketing my van.:fist:

What did you get a ticket for?

What did you get a ticket for?

I’d guess it was parking

Well his van got the ticket
It’s a shame they can’t do something with the idiots blocking the roads

What did you get a ticket for?

Parking on a leave covered red line, with the sign post facing inwards towards the path.

Ah the old “there was leaves covering the lines guvna!”. A classic.

I once tried to argue that because the double yellows had completely worn away in a car-length area, I had assumed it was a handy parking spot. Apparently that’s not a good enough excuse either . £70 fine but I’m sure I paid less for “quick payment” or summat.

But hold on. I’ve just googled it and apparently if there’s a break in the line it CAN invalidate a parking ticket. :oh: I’ve been DONE.

I did the same thing years ago parked in a side road next to the railway station
No yellow line

Came back to not only find a ticket but the twat had wrote on my dirty car no tax no insurance no mot, but obviously it had all of that

Took pictures in the spot it was parked sent a letter threatening I would get a lawyer involved never heard no more.

Did go looking for the twat that was foolish enough to write on my car but luckily for him I couldn’t find him or he wouldn’t touch another car.

Lucky you didn't get done for breach of peace.

You want to be in Australia.

I got fined for non angle parking as I parked in the space going forward when I should have parked backwards. Their logic is that when you reverse out you can't see oncoming traffic.

Got two parking fines in Sydney in the same night when out on the lash.

Got parking fine when leaving car to meet someone in a hotel for sex.

No speeding fines though!

And hundreds of dollar fines for using Australian toll roads without a tag, unbeknownst to me at the time. When you add admin charges on you have a hefty bill.
