This has been going on for many days now
The Migrants want to get to Europe.

Nasty Belarus is pushing them forward
Poland rebuilding fences to a higher level.

[Poland faced "many attempts" to breach
the border with Belarus overnight but now
has 15,000 troops to repel them,
the defence minister has said.
Several thousand migrants have become
stranded at the border, at the centre
of an escalating international row.
For months, the EU, and now Nato and the US,
have accused Belarus's authoritarian
leader of provoking a renewed migrant crisis in Europe.
Ever-increasing numbers have headed
to Belarus's borders with the EU.]

Well something obviously does need to be done about the migrant crisis. Though it'd be more helpful to get troops in the Med.
(Or Black Sea in this case, I guess :joker: )

The migrants are Stuck in Limbo

Poland can take anymore migrants
12,000 Polish troops are there.

If the UN wasn't such a MASSIVE, ineffective waste of money they would send in peacekeeping troops to run Belarus, depose the tyrant leading it and keep it ticking over until fair election can be held. Instead, they'll make more adverts of screaming, starving children and attempt to guilt us all into send them more money.

fully agree with Poland not wanting these migrants

and these migrants wouldn't have been in this position if that dictator Lukashenko was no longer in power

they should look at other neighbour countries, Lithuania was always willing to help out(where opposition leader Tikhanovskaya is currently too)

maybe now with these UK troops, they can have a safer escort to other countries until USA, UK can sort things out as for the Lukashenko regime to take that evil dictator down for once and for all with any force necessary

Only 10 EngineersThat's not the point. We're right to stand with Poland but we're not even standing up for ourselves. It doesn't make sense.

bots

we are taking actions on our borders though, and Alf, Galloway is doing this while being sponsored by the russian state

[Poland-Belarus border:
Shivering, hungry migrants hope
the EU will 'make a good decision'

Moscow correspondent Diana Magnay speaks
to people on the border in
freezing temperatures as they hope
for a better life in Europe.]

[After a week shivering in sodden woodland,
the largest group of migrants stuck between
the serried ranks of Belarusian and Polish border
guards decided to move.
We were en route to their camp
but they had other plans.

"It's too cold and we are in a place that's quite open,
we have no protection from the rain and snow.
And all the children are coughing because of smoke,"
a contact, Dino, told me by voice message as
I tried to arrange our meeting.

His next message was
telling: "Hopefully the EU will make a good decision for us."]

[Many of these families have sold everything they
have to get this far. Going back is not an option.

That is a massive problem for them,
for Lukashenko and for Europe.
We will return tomorrow to the border crossing
on the M6,
between Belarus and Poland,
as the migrants rub their eyes
from yet another sleep depraved night,
as Europe wonders what to do,
as Lukashenko wonders whether
he's pushed it too far.]

[About 150 British army Royal Engineers will be sent
to help reinforce Poland's border with Belarus,
the defence secretary has said.
The border is seen as an entry point to the EU,
and there have been tensions in
recent weeks with Belarus
being accused of pushing migrants towards it.
Ben Wallace said a small reconnaissance team
of engineers had already been to the
area to assess the situation.

They would not be combat troops but
"guys with diggers", he added.]
