we don't have enough new green resources to satisfy the demand required to reduce the carbon footprint by the required amount. So people can't transfer over to green energy because it just isnt there. The resources that do exist are way too expensive, so only a few fanatics are going to change over. The whole thing is dead in the water. People can protest forever, it doesn't change reality
